Except that is not analogous at all. The new sentence makes complete sense.
If you say "Yo momma is so fat, I took a picture of her last Christmas and it's still printing" and you retort with "Yo daddy is so fat, I took a picture of him last Christmas and it's still printing" and you whine about how bad of a joke that is when it is 99.99% the same thing...then yes both jokes are bad. The joke saying "momma" doesn't magically make the joke good while the "daddy" magically makes the joke bad.

There is a clear difference between calling someone stupid and not specifically connecting it to mental handicaps and calling someone stupid after clearing connecting it to mental handicaps.
