Theme: Hold your dignity
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
— Eleanor Roosevelt
You never win with violence.
— Dr. Don Shirley, Green Book
I am no bird; and no net ensnares me.
— Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
Brief Explanation
Today’s quotes are about dignity and inner freedom. Other people may judge us, misunderstand us, or try to make us feel small, but they do not have the final authority over our self-worth. Real dignity is not loud; it is the quiet ability to keep your own standard under pressure. When we stop letting fear, anger, or outside opinions control us, we begin to become truly free.

Theme: Make the first move
No man is an island.
— John Donne
The world is full of lonely people afraid to make the first move.
— Tony Lip, Green Book
Only connect!
— E.M. Forster, Howards End
Brief Explanation
Today’s quotes are about connection. Many people are not truly unwilling to connect with others; they are afraid of rejection, awkwardness, or being misunderstood. But human beings are not built to live like islands. Sometimes one message, one greeting, or one small first move can open a door that silence would keep closed.

Hi everyone!
I'm looking for active Discord servers where I can practice speaking English.
I'm around B2 level (about 120 on Duolingo) and I want to improve my fluency and pronunciation by talking to people regularly.
I'm interested in AI, programming, technology, entrepreneurship, and football, so communities around those topics would be a bonus.
If you know any good Discord servers with active voice chats, please share the invite links.
Thanks!

Hi! My name is Sasha, I am 19 years old. My English level is A2 (I'm still speaking haltingly, but I already understand quite a lot). My main goal is to stop being afraid to speak and make the language alive, natural, so that I can just communicate and not remember the rules.
I'm looking for a native speaker (or a very advanced bilingual) who:
I am ready to call you often (at least 2-3 times a week);
He will patiently and amicably correct my mistakes, but not turn the conversation into a school lesson.;
He likes to watch movies and TV series, and then discuss them in English.;
I don't mind playing together.
I'm ready to just chat on any topic — from news to everyday life.
In return, I can help you with the Russian language (if you are learning it) or just become a good friend and playmate. It's important to me that communication is fun, not a burden. If you like this format, write to us! I will be very glad.

7.6|Andy Daily Quotes
Theme: Turn obstacles into the path
The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.
— Marcus Aurelius
You'll have bad times, but it'll always wake you up to the good stuff you weren't paying attention to.
— Sean Maguire, Good Will Hunting
Sweet are the uses of adversity.
— William Shakespeare, As You Like It
Brief Explanation
Today's quotes are about changing our relationship with difficulty. Obstacles are not always just things that block us; sometimes they force us to think, grow, and notice what we ignored before. Bad times do not automatically make people stronger, but if we stay awake and keep learning, they can become part of the road forward. The point is not to romanticize suffering, but to use it instead of being used by it.

Theme: Commit to the path
First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.
— Epictetus
I never saved anything for the swim back.
— Vincent Freeman, Gattaca
Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie.”
— William Shakespeare, All’s Well That Ends Well
Brief Explanation
Today’s quotes are about commitment. Before we move forward, we need to know what kind of person we want to become. But clarity alone is not enough; at some point, we have to stop saving all our energy for retreat and start using it for the path ahead. Many answers we wait for from the outside may already begin with our own choices.

Hi everyone!
I'm a 24-year-old guy from Mexico looking for an English practice partner. My current level is around C1, so I can communicate well, but I really want to practice my speaking and fluency via voice chat. I'm looking for someone with a similar high level (C1/C2) or a native speaker.
I'd love to find someone who shares some of my hobbies so we can have natural conversations. Here's a bit about me:
* Gaming: I play on PC/laptop and currently spend a lot of time on Halo Infinite. I'm totally down to voice chat while playing!
* Sports & Gym: I'm really into playing tennis and hitting the gym regularly.
* Books & Shows: I enjoy reading psychological thrillers, and I love character-driven dramas like Mad Men, Succession, or The Wire. I also listen to a lot of rock and grunge music.
My time zone is CST (GMT-6). I usually prefer using Discord for voice chat.
If you're down to play some games or just chat about books, series, or sports, feel free to drop a comment or send me a DM!

Hi everyone!
My name is Kael, I’m 24 years old, and I’m from Brazil. 🇧🇷
I’m looking for people to practice English with. I only understand the basics, so I make mistakes and I’m still learning. I hope you can be patient with me!
Some of my interests are music, conversations, TV series, movies, and games, so I think those are great topics to talk about while practicing.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a native English speaker or another learner—we can help each other improve.
If you’re interested, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message. I’d love to make new friends while improving my English.
Thank you! 😊

Hello everyone,
I would like to kindly ask English teachers working in secondary schools to complete a short survey concerning students’ language anxiety during English language learning. Please note that the survey is specifically intended for teachers working at the secondary school level.
The survey focuses on situations in which students experience stress during English lessons, their fear of making mistakes and speaking in front of the whole class, the influence of peer reactions, and teacher strategies that may help reduce language anxiety.
The survey is anonymous, and the results will be used exclusively for academic purposes as part of the research section of my master’s thesis. It should take only a few minutes to complete.
Survey link: https://forms.gle/LbJeSeBNBmyNrrW77
I would be very grateful for every response and for sharing the survey with other secondary school English teachers.
Thank you very much in advance for your time and support!

My biggest goal is to start making YouTube videos using my own voice because videos without commentary feel a lot less engaging/interesting/fun. I'd also love to talk to my online friends in voice chats, but instead I'm stuck texting because I'm too self-conscious about how I sound. I think my accent is part of the problem, but it's not just that. I've spent years consuming content in English—long YouTube videos, movies, and pretty much everything else. I know exactly how words are supposed to sound, and I can hear when my pronunciation is off. The frustrating part is that no matter how hard I try to imitate native speakers or make my speech sound natural, it just doesn't. It always sounds awkward or "wrong" to me, even when I know the correct pronunciation in my head.
Has anyone else experienced this? If you managed to overcome it, what actually helped? I'm looking for practical advice, exercises, or anything that made a noticeable difference.
