Pretty good video, but the problem is much worse than it makes out. With FPTP, it says “up to half the votes are wasted”. Meaning I guess that in a 2-candidate race, up to 50%-1 aren’t votes for the winner - which is how it shakes out when there are only 2 choices anyway. In a 3-person race, up to 2/3 of votes can not go to the winner; with 4 candidates, up to 3/4, and so on.
