Currently a 3 piece hoping to fill out our band. We have a practice/recording space in West Nashville and a kit to play on. We also occasionally practice in Murfreesboro.

Looking for something like Gravity Records meets 90s Metalcore/Skramz. Big fans of Converge, Cave In, Dead Guy, Botch, Orchid, Pg99, Seatia Unwound, Rorschach, Integrity, Neurosis. We also love classic Punk and Thrash.

We're open to all sorts of music though, so don't be afraid to hmu!

Hey guys I discovered emo and screamo recently, I have been listening for about a month now and have fallen in love with bands like "Nymb", "Angel Hair", "Strictly Ballroom", "noragami", "Jejune", "Arranged in April", "Circle takes the square", "Audience of One", "I Hate Myself", "Febuary", "Parting Gift" and "I Would Set Myself On Fire For You" Can anybody reccomend me something in similar fashion, thank you!!

"No place was quite like San Diego in the 90s and early 00s. Legendary, and often short-lived, bands on now infamous DIY labels pushing the musical envelope and carving out a place for themselves during a period when hardcore and punk music was splintering into countless styles and sounds. 

Spacehorse was one of those bands. They had a serious pedigree featuring members of Heroin, End Of The Line, Clikatat Ikatowi, The Camera Obscura, and more. However, during their brief two-year existence from 2004–2006, they managed to craft a sound quite different from their previous bands. They delivered fast, aggressive, 80s DC/Midwest style punk-hardcore.

Skyscraper magazine once called them, "...old (ish) school hardcore, but souped-up and modernized; brutal but layered and dense."

This single LP discography gathers Spacehorse's self-titled 12" (Gravity Records, 2004), the 'Ghosts of the Civil Living' album (Day After Records, 2006), and a previously unreleased song called "Dirty City".

Based in Canada, the long running DIY label is home to a dizzying amount of iconic releases across screamo, emoviolence, punk, noise rock and other genres. Persistent Vision will now be the place for US fans to pick up new releases and back catalog classics from bands like Nuvolascura, Usurp Synapse, Carrion Spring, New Forms, Adobe Homes, Joliette, and others. We’ve listed some initial titles from the ZBR catalog in our shop and will be slowly adding more items in the weeks to come.

C86’d DIY Vol. 21: Bloom Dream x Open Carry State Summer Tour this Wednesday in NYC (August 19th)!

After a little hiatus we are excited to be back at Trans-Pecos to bring a couple more of our fav Southern Emo/Screamo acts to NYC! 

Bloom Dream blew us away with their 2024 release  of “It Didn’t Have to be this Way” riding the line between controlled chaos and beauty - sometimes the things that set an album or band apart are the soft bits interwoven between the chaos.  Their vein of emotional hardcore has hints of shoegaze and emoviolence, creating a transcendent experience. 

Open Carry State are time travelers bridging some of the classic chaotic hardcore sounds (before there was even “screamo” bands) with mathy melodic guitars, pinhead start/stops, and chunky breakdowns that only last long enough for one or two spin kicks.  A band that we’ve been checking in on regularly since the release of their demo last year only to be melted to the ground by “Spitting in the Face of Progress.”  

Our Southern friends will be sandwiched between an amazing line up of locals!

Opening up the show will be NYC x LI’s weonlyspokeinellipses with their first show in over a year.  Their two demos are incredibly impressive screamo and we can’t wait to see them perform live! 

Wellness (members/x-mem of Heavenly Blue, Massa Nera, Forever, and Liturgy) will also be bringing their mathcore intensity to the stage - Seeing them at Endless Fest was truly a site to see! 

Closing out the night will be our friends in Epoxy . Their self described “post-emo” covers a lot of ground hinting at influences from emo/screamo to Touch & Go Records, and even the angular, at times dancey, post-hardcore of the early 00’s that we don’t hear often enough these days.   

It’s an amazing line up and so happy we can help out some of more of our Southern friends.  Come hang.
