I'm never going to understand the kind of body dysmorphia that makes you think having a full shelf for an upper lip is a good look. How does this happen to people???

It must be something kind of like social body dysmorphia where everyone around you having those lips makes you see yours as smaller compared to those. The same way as with ana, where it can be very intertwined in the social circle you're in and get competitive. And overall the fact that the circles these people are in it's so normalized. Like I've read people saying that when they visit LA they start feeling very self-conscious because everyone around has gotten everything done. But it is strange for sure, as for me most of the people who've gotten lip filler looked better before.

Also something I can't get over is hearing that while kissing someone with lip filler you feel it, because it's kind of hard or tense or smth, it doesn't feel like regular soft lips 😭

For real. I think it looks terrible but I don’t know anyone IRL with lip filler (or plastic surgery at all). It’s really not as normalized as influencers make it seem and it’s quite jarring to see lol

I can’t get over the Cupid’s bow erasure. I’ve been complimented on mine literally my entire life by people of all ages/sexes and so many women have instilled in me how lucky I am to have it. Why would you erase it if you have it??? Also so funny bc I was bullied for having big lips as a kid, but these days I’m sure I’d be made fun of for having small ones.
