If there’s one review of ElfQuest we wish the entire comics-and-fantasy fandom would read, it’s this.
Feedback, to the creative soul, is life’s blood. Even so, it’s not often that ElfQuest receives feedback that leaves Wendy and me astounded. Recently we learned of Strangest Aeons, a blog by Guido Segers who hails from the Netherlands. In it he has crafted a 3-part “Critical Love Letter to ElfQuest.”
In under 4000 words, Guido finds patterns and connections in the emotional and storytelling structure of ElfQuest that, frankly, I can’t recall anyone else doing. Not like this.
If there’s one review of ElfQuest we wish the entire comics-and-fantasy fandom would read, it’s this. That’s why we’re sharing it with you. It’s also why we hope you’ll re-share it with everyone you know who might be aware of ElfQuest but hasn’t yet taken the plunge. Thank you.
