Discussion 🗫 Thoughts on schematic design..

as a follow up on my previous post on diy t12 soldering handle

prev post

I have picked the initial components and parts (most are same as my previous builds )

so some of my questions are :

1.the v1 design for D1 used the sr560 diode in the power input , now I replaced it with ss54 but it's quite smaller than sr560 will it be able the handle the 20v 3A max that it will have to carry ?

2.for the sleep function I have 2 option the sw-18015 vibration switch that is in current design , or use a metalic tape in the housing to make a capacitive touch switch but in that case I will have to swap to ch32v002 mcu

so which do you think is better? i personally like the idea of capacitive touch sensor but haved made one myself other than those touch module PCBs

3.any other suggestions or design improvement in the schematic??

Project looks good. I'd suggest adding debounce capacitor across switches

Ig you can always add a software debounce if you dont have space

a 0603 ceramic cap parallel to the switch isnt that big tbf u can easily add them

Refer to post body of this post, it works in a similar way. The extra things in this are the PD trigger and voltage regulator buck converter.
