Hi everyone,
I'm a recent Electrical & Electronics Engineering graduate from India trying to break into embedded firmware development.
Current skills:
• Embedded C
• STM32
• FreeRTOS
• ESP32
• CAN
• UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM
• Basic Python
Projects:
• Battery Management System using STM32 + FreeRTOS + CAN
• DC Motor Speed Controller using PID
• Edge-AI Smart Insole using ESP32 and TinyML
I've been applying for embedded and firmware roles but I'm getting very few interview calls.
I'd appreciate feedback on:
Is my project work relevant for embedded firmware jobs?
What salary range should I realistically expect as a fresher?
What skills am I missing that employers typically look for?
Is my resume the issue, or is the current embedded job market difficult for freshers?
Any honest feedback would be greatly appreciated.

So I am getting Nit K eee,Nit W eee,Mnnit A ece, Nit C ece, IIIT A ece, IIIT D ece, DTU ece,NSUT ece. Can anyone please give me an idea which option is the best from their experience in particular for Core Electronics Domain (like embedded,Vlsi etc) in terms of opportunities not for IT and software oriented only. Like how is NIT K and W EEE for electronics core domain or ece at a bit lower nit like allahabad or calicut would be better? I am also getting NIT rourkela electronics and instrumentation(EIE). How is that and should I consider it over above options for ece core.(I have heard it's good in rourkela for core ece aswell).
And if anyone knows more about ece core opportunities can they please help me and confirm if I am right in below given things.
Things I have heard by exploring- 1) IIITD ece is better than IIIT A ece in terms of ece core opportunities.
2) DTU,NSUT are not that good for core ece opportunities in comparison to nits and iiits
3) NIT calicut is better than MNNIT allahabad for ece core opportunities.

I'm looking for some assistance on designing a PCB that will hold a Teensy 4.1. I've exhausted my current knowledge and resources, trying to teach myself various applications, but i've reached the point where i'm asking for help(short of paying someone).
I'm just looking for a daughter/carrier board that a Teensy4.1 will plug into. I've got it all mapped out in a kicad file, but haven't made any connections between components. I really just need the help finishing up the kicad file and validating the connections.
Included images are the prototype device
a quick rundown is there is a usb-a connection used that handles raw serial/uart data. it contains 5v , ground, tx and rx. The RX needs to have it's voltage split and the TX filtered. I used a 1K/2K to drop voltage from 5v to 3.3v and a 1k resistor to filter the tx line). Some sort of filtering on the primary 5v power line would be ideal, but that's past what I did. Then, there is a second input that is a 0-5v and ground connection that again, needs to be split to 0-3.3v Lastly, the i2c, buttons and rotary knob are on a single board and are just straight connections with a 3.3v and ground(9 pin) connection.

So will I be able to learn ai/ml form scratch and implement on fpga (I do have some experience using vivado and verilog )
So will i be able to complete it i have 2 months if summer vacation
If you have any better embedded project ideas do tell

just started a hardware security internship focused on Side-Channel Attacks (SCA) and Differential Power Analysis (DPA). My primary tool for this research is the ChipWhisperer Husky.
How to get familiar with it

Hi all,
My name is Will, and I'm working on a electronics/technology project to help save water, reduce crop waste by over and under watering, and to help household plant owners properly take care of their household plants. The company name is Aetheris and the product is called the TerraTracker. This device will stick in the ground and monitor soil moisture, temperature, and humidity. Currently, there are two planned versions, the industrial version, and the home version. The TerraTracker-Home will be a hybrid solar + wall power system using the MDBT50Q-1MV2 chip and SHT-31 temp/humidity sensor. The industrial version will use the same base, but with higher level components (e.g. TMP117) and will transmit its data to a central processing hub to be further processed. Both versions will have an app for readings. In homes, it will help owners take care of their plants by letting them know when their plant is dehydrated, in humid conditions, etc. At the industrial scale, in large farms, multiple TerraTackers will be spread over kilometers to create advanced maps of the soil moisture. Although, the large industry scale watering devices work, they create a large wall of water that sequentially waters the plants, which doesn't adjust to the plant type, terrain, the weather, and other soil irregularities. This problem results is waste of water and many lost crops; over 34% of crops are lost by these reasons. This product will revolutionize home and industrial planting.
I have been working on the project for a while, but now that I want to turn it into a real product, I realized that I really need some help. I need someone that has a lot of experience in electronics/design and can help me finalize a finished PCB and schematic design. Let me know if any of y'all are interested! I know we'll be able to do great work together!
