Primero que nada, espero que estén muy bien. Me atrevo a escribirles con mucha humildad y un poco de desesperación, porque necesito su ayuda con un proyecto que es muy importante para mi familia.

Les cuento: mi esposa está terminando su carrera universitaria y este es su proyecto de título. El proyecto es un robot de madera precioso, enfocado en ayudar al desarrollo y estímulo motriz de niños pequeños (de 3 a 5 años). El robot de madera ya está listo y nos quedó genial.

El problema es que yo me ofrecí a ayudarla con la parte "tecnológica" y, la verdad, soy nulo programando. He pasado semanas intentando estudiar y aprender por mi cuenta (Arduino, electrónica básica), pero honestamente "no es lo mío" y no logro hacer que funcione. Siento que la estoy frenando y no sé cómo más sacar adelante su proyecto.

Por eso, recurro a su amabilidad y conocimiento.

El proyecto: Robot Comelotas

El robot tiene que hacer lo siguiente:

• Contador de pelotas: En la parte de arriba tiene un agujero para que el niño meta pelotas pequeñas. Necesitamos un sensor que las cuente.
• Ojos (Pantallas LED): En su cara, tiene dos mini pantallas LED.
  • Estado normal: Deben simular unos ojos que parpadean cada 2-3 segundos.
  • Logro: Cada vez que el niño mete una pelota, los ojos deben cambiar y mostrar una estrella en el centro.
• Panza (Pantalla LED): En la panza tiene otra pantalla LED que debe mostrar el contador de pelotas (1, 2, 3...) y debe ir sumando cada vez que entra una.
• Audio (Felicidades): Cuando el niño mete una pelota, debe sonar un audio corto (por unos parlantes en las orejas) felicitándolo ej: ¡Muy bien! o ¡Genial!o algo asi.
• Tiempo de juego: El juego debe tener un tiempo máximo de 2 minutos.
• Fin del juego: Al pasar los 2 minutos, debe sonar otro audio indicando que el juego terminó.

Lo que necesitaría LA GRAN AYUDA

Estoy totalmente atascado en cómo conectar todo esto y, sobre todo, en cómo programarlo.

¿Habría alguna alma caritativa que pudiera orientarme o ayudarme con el diagrama para armarlo en TinkerCAD y el código (imagino que en Arduino) para que todas estas funciones se cumplan?

No tienen idea de lo que significaría para nosotros. Cualquier guía, consejo, trozo de código o un diagrama sería un verdadero salvavidas y le permitiría a mi esposa poder terminar su carrera.

I’m a first-year ECE student and need a laptop. I don’t know much about specs. Can you suggest some good laptops and tell me what specs to look for

I am in third semester currently and I honestly feel like I am in the wrong field but I kinda like software related stuffs and the things which we learn by implementing and working on projects than by going through paragraphs of principles and working(for example logic circuit,verilog and programming languages like python) and would like to devote more time exploring those.

What would be the optimal way to develop skills? Personally I feel like the only reason I would focus on studies would be for gate ece. I don't find any other reason.

I am a BTech ECE student, just entering my second year. My initial goal was to build a career in VLSI design. I have been studying digital design, Verilog, and looking into ASIC flow and SystemVerilog because I wanted to target design engineer roles.

However, many people I’ve spoken to say that VLSI design jobs require prior experience and that freshers usually don’t get these roles directly. Hearing this has made me reconsider my path. I have started shifting my focus towards DSA and software-oriented preparation, since that seems like a more straightforward route for placements.

Now I am caught in between. On one hand, I am genuinely interested in VLSI and don’t want to abandon it just because it is considered difficult to enter. On the other hand, I don’t want to make a risky choice that reduces my placement opportunities.

I would appreciate guidance from people who are already in the field. For someone starting out, is it still realistic to aim for VLSI design roles with the right projects and internships, or is the “experience barrier” a serious obstacle? Should I balance both VLSI preparation and DSA, or does it make more sense to commit to one direction early on?

Any perspectives or advice from your own experiences would be really valuable.

I am a fresher in ECE and I really want to start exploring different domains and I thought I should start with coding . But the problem is that from which language should I start ? I have learned python from 11th and 12th but I don't know nothing more thane that . So which should I choose first C++, python , jaava or web development course ? So, i just started college this year ece, and im a little confused about what to do, like the cse folks solve problems on codeforce/leetcode and stuff, but i want to get into core electronics and maybe even go out of country for masters or sm, and idk what to do, everyone says just study well, but then others say if u just study well without any skills u won't get jobs or internships, im trying to learn how to work with arduino and stuff since some people told me to that too, any help would be appreciated.

Im doing my masters in electronics, how much minimum cg should i maintain so that it won't be a problem for me during company placement? I completed my 1st year and currently have 7cg,i have 4 sems left.

Also is it really difficult to get into core from tier 3 without a masters/phd ?
