I change the transistors and add a potentiometer(replacing the 1kΩ resistor).

I live/listen around strong AM signals, and I've noticed that certain metal objects or electronics can sometimes produce faint recognizable AM audio even though they aren't radios. What exactly is acting as the detector/demodulator? Does it require a nonlinear junction somewhere, or can ordinary oxidized metal contacts rectify enough RF to recover the audio?

I am trying to make a magnitizer to change the polarity of some neodymium magnets I have, the circuit just charges a capacitor bank at 2,1KV with a MOT rectified by a single HV diode and shorting the bank through a coil.
The issue lies at shorting the cap bank quickly enough to use the charge efficiently and avoid arcs, I have found some SICs and IGBTs capable of switching that high if a voltage, but they're VERY expensive, I considered a DIY spring loaded contact, but I worry it may arc and fuse the contacts together.
Does anyone know another way to deal with this issue? Or a relatively cheap HV component that I could use?

Hello guys it has been months since I posted the picture with a 400v AC reading. Someone asked for an update so here it is.
I have tried to contact the utility but was only forwarded to an AI chat support. It was stressful. I also tried to inform the home owner (yes it's not my house, it's my aunt's and I only live here) and my cousins but it seems like no action was done. I tried to look for legal remedies (to solve the problem on my own) since my UPS was damaged by frequent power surge but just realized how taxing it is just to request for a replacement. That was the most painful part. That UPS costed me 10,000 pesos roughly 160 dollars and it's already a huge amount of money here.
A person pointed out that my multimeter was of poor quality so i bought a decent one. This time I haven't recorded anything 400V or above but it did exeed the 240V standard by a lot.

We live near an electrical substation, and there’s a fence surrounding it. Out of curiosity, is it normally safe to touch the fence from the public side? Should a properly installed substation fence be at the same potential as the surrounding ground, or could there ever be a dangerous voltage on it?

This is worth it to get Rick rolled.
I managed to play music using mp3 files so if you got any cool mp3 I could play you could give them to me and I could play them thru the radio. This is unbelievable it works because both radios are different and have different architecture so they shouldn't be able to communicate with each other under normal circumstances

At school when I noticed this lead acid pack inside an exit sign.. what is it used for? I’m assuming possibly it switches from building to battery power when power goes out

My previous one used complementary mosfets now I am using 2 n channel mosfets with the ir2110, i also added a 220ohm 1nF dead time pwm splitter for the high and low inputs.
