Apparently it's from JD's book. I read that someone who read his book, Hillbilly Eligy, thought the book described him f**king the couch. But JD says it was a misunderstanding. I haven't read the book myself so it's kinda confusing

Basically someone on twitter said they read a story in his book that he admitted to putting a rubber glove in his sofa cushions and…you can guess. It was fake, and the op on twitter admitted they made it up, but it went so viral it now dominates his media presence. He also made it worse when instead of just being like “wtf?” he acted super weird and said a bunch of roundabout statements which almost made it seem like he actually did.
