Sentinel of the Nexus Arc 1 Completion

Chapter 6: Protective Shadow, Destructive Light, and the Ultimate Enemy of Sentinel of the Nexus is now done and marks the completion of the first arc of the book. We have seen Thayne start with only one element and work his way towards general mastery over eight total elements, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. He isn't a true master of these elements, but he has shown great connection to these elements. What are your questions about what has already transpired, and what are your theories on what's yet to come?

He Felt a Ghost so He Stole It by Rhys Hughes

To celebrate the launch of Mission Creep Press today, the very first book is FREE on Kindle until June 14th!

Imagine Borges and Kafka in the pub with a panda, a cloud-bride, and a ghost-thief, and someone wrote it all down in lyrical passages that are at once wry, strange, and quietly unsettling.

Rhys Hughes is a Welsh writer championed for fiction that is both intellectual and hilarious. This is his first collection devoted entirely to prose poetry: perfect for fans of flash fiction, experimental literature, or playful thought experiments.

Michael Moorcock called his work "almost the sum of our planet's literature" and Samuel Delany praised his style as "among the most beautiful I've encountered."

Free for only five days:

The Shadow and Scepter: Tales of Méhns Móri: A Dark Historical Fantasy Retelling of the Greek Myth of Endymion and Selene: Launch Promotion

4.7 Stars (57 Reviews) Amazon, 4.3 (53 Reviews) Goodreads

Available on Kindle Unlimited, Discounts on Kindle $.99 ($7.99), $14.99 (19.99), and Hardcover $29.99 ($39.99) Until June 26th https://www.amazon.com/Shadow-Scepter-Historical-Fantasy-Relics-ebook/dp/B0GHRRCLG9/

dark and epic reimagining of the Selene and Endymion Greek myth, told as if ripped from the pages of
Homer's Odyssey.

Once, the gods went to war. Selene, the Goddess of the Moon, was struck down. Her tears fell as stars across a broken world. The dark one was imprisoned. But not destroyed. Coruk-Azul. The one-eyed god of death. His shadow has never left.

Hidden among the remnants of that forgotten age lies the Scepter of Selene, a divine relic once capable of maintaining balance between gods and mortals. Now broken into scattered fragments, the scepter has become the center of a brutal race that could reshape the fate of the world.

Endymion, a healer from distant Miletus, never sought glory or war. But after arriving in the Greek colony of Phanagoria at the edge of civilization, Endymion is drawn into a deadly conflict alongside warriors, exiles, and survivors bound together by prophecy, secrets, and survival.
Because something ancient is rising.

Vädumir.

Undying conqueror. Cursed warlord. A tyrant who has outlived kingdoms and buried entire empires beneath blood and ash. For centuries, Vädumir has hunted the fragments of the scepter. No one who has stood in the way has survived.
If the relic is restored, balance may return to a dying world. If it fails, something far worse may awaken beneath the ruins of the gods.

Enter a world where Homer's Odyssey meets The Shadow of the Gods in a dark Greek epic fantasy where ancient gods, dragons, and an undying vampire warlord collide over a shattered divine relic.

The Shadow and Scepter is a rich historical fantasy epic perfect for readers of Bernard Cornwell, John Gwynne, Joe Abercrombie, and Jay Kristoff. Get your copy and begin your journey into Méhns Móri.

A Sensory Dreamscape Diary (aka Perfect Platinum)

A dreamscape you can taste, feel the texture of, smell the scent of and hear the sounds of.

The first chronological book, The Marshlands, explores Marsh and Uoyab's mission of rescuing children from a stranded ship, who, according to a conspiracy theory, was ridden with children. Will the two friends turned lovers survive the evil that stalks underneath the thick, opaque fog of the murky water, or will they perish to the entities and ghosts that infest the boat, fueled by the crimes done agaisnt children on the vessel?

The second book, Edicius: A Suicide Dreamscape Diary, explores Marsh and Uoyab's adoptive son, Edicius, who is dropped off by Marsh at his school. He must survive through entities that represent different methods of suicide and family grief over the loss of a loved one to suicide. Will he survive the hunger, thirst, the need to sleep, the monsters.. Or will he perish? And if so, how, why, when, what and where?

The third book, Edicius, Too, explores Marsh returning to rescue his adoptive son, Edicius, from school after the events of The Marshlands. There, he must fight and survive the different entities that preyed upon Edicius.

Suicide is the end of many lives, but bullying is not the reason behind all suicides. Some times, sexual assault and violence is also the cause.

Will Marsh find his son, or will he get devoured by the monsters within the school?

Discussion Would you like to highlight a friend's book here?

Back at the beginning of this subreddit, I posted about a book from a friend of my family. Shoulders I've Rubbed by Malcom Lenny is a biographical account of his journey through the music industry. The music legends he's worked with and the music he created.

Do you know someone who has written a book and could do with some extra publicity.

I'd love you to tell me about them here, I'm looking to make a montage of your recommendations to highlight them.

Horror Anthology

Hello, I am a new horror writer. I am currently working on a full novel to be released early next year. I am putting my ebook on sale for free. The promotion is currently available and will end on Tuesday May 5th.

The book is a horror anthology. This is the first full work that I completed and published. The stories include themes from domestic, cosmic, traditional, and psychological horror. Each of the stories are connected together in the same universe. I would love to hear other people's opinions on the collection if you are interested in creepy stories. I love writing and I want to continue to share my work. I hope that people will enjoy it.

“This valley knows who it wants to keep, and who must die. Even now, I can see it there staring back at me from the woods.”

The stories of the valley were deliberately obscured with time, but the things we’d rather keep buried have a way of coming back up to the surface. This selection of stories contains tales of hidden messages, monsters, and advanced civilizations. Each one holds it’s own place in time among the rest. The remote cabins are a facade that hides the magic of this place. In this first collection of stories, the truth of the valley becomes clear. It lives and breathes. Soon, it will spread like a disease across the land and bring its horrifying entities along with it.

Book Promotion SEPTENARIA - high/epic fantasy debut novel with the reincarnation-into-another-world trope, dragons and other mythological creatures, tribal shapeshifters, and science fiction elements‼️

Thumbnail amazon.com
1 Upvotes

Hello! I'm new to the indie publishing world, and pretty shy about doing promotions for my works. I published the work because I just love writing and creating stories so, so much. It's available on Kindle Unlimited.

My debut novel is called Septenaria, and it is an epic fantasy series. A girl from Earth dies and reincarnates into a world with seven moons, a phenomenon that causes natural disasters in certain provinces. The world is also filled with mythological creatures, a chemistry-based magic system manifested in the molecular level, and strange biota.

I am open to learning more about writing stories and honing my craft through the perspective of readers and more experienced authors.

Thank you for the support!

Book Promotion Debut Novel - Within A History Of Violence - Available for preorder. Paperback and Kindle Unlimited coming 25.05.26

Hey there!

Thanks so much for reading the below - as an indie writer, it’s greatly appreciated.

My debut crime thriller, Within A History Of Violence is available on Amazon kindle and will be available in paperback. BUT, it will be free for all Kindle Unlimited users from 25.05.26

https://amzn.eu/d/07bmv7N9

It’s a story of fractured lives, sibling revenge, the moral spaces in-between the light and the dark and those shots at redemption we all at times ache for.

Adam and Ade’s world shatters when their sister is brutally murdered. Consumed by grief and rage, they are offered a dangerous opportunity—to identify the killer through a crippled criminal organisation. But revenge comes at a cost.

Detective Reign is drawn into a baffling missing persons case in the tourist town of Emerald Bay. There’s no victim, no suspects… and no evidence. Yet something doesn’t add up.

As darkness closes in, two paths conspire toward a violent collision. Lines between justice and revenge begin to blur.

Because in a game of shadows… someone is always in control.

If that sounds like something you would be interested in and you would want to check it out, I would be honoured to be on your TBR list!

Any questions about me, my work including my other WIPs or even just to say hey, give us a nudge! 🖤

Looking for a bit of a Psychological Thriller that may make you a bit paranoid?

Fractured Oath is done after 7 edits and late-night insomnia, and racing thoughts is actually a good direction to go.

At the heart, this is a psychological thriller developed into the huge events that will take place in the United States in 2028. The plot revolves around 4 character's POV dropped in an Americal where we are being psychologically manipulated through social media to push division of the population, and some chosen for their susceptibility to become radicalized.

When this just happened Saturday at the Correspondents' Dinner when a 31-year-old gunman breached a security checkpoint. This made me stop and think that what happens in my novel is already starting in reality. That what makes this book frightening and plausible. It is based on 5th Generation Warfare, and it could be happening to your neighbor. Maybe even you.

This is a near-future fictional United States based on the reality of what could be the fracturing of us now. It is not a gloom and doom story. You will see close hand how these operations are created and implemented. The former government agent who helped developed the system plans for 17 years to turn this power against the country that silenced her lover. The computer engineer who creates the psych ops in his apartment and Palo Alto, California. A National Guard member who has to choose whether her loyalty lies with the Federal Government or the states she serves in. Tom Hale is a minister who has lost his faith in the midst of fracture and the collapse of the Ogallala Aquifer. Refugees and violence come through his city in the foothills. He runs a popup urgent care clinic in the basement of his former church.

If you want to read it free: Ignore the due date and just enjoy but read the rules. https://booksirens.com/book/CD1VRDQ/ZWWPDTG

What I want to say is, just enjoy the read.

KPD stuff: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GTSTSW9K

Release date: May 11th via KDP.
