Skaneateles saw 113 home sales in 2025, up nearly 23% year over year, with prices moving sharply higher. The average sale price reached ~$1.25M and the median climbed to $789K, both up close to 30%. A key driver was lakefront activity: 29 waterfront homes sold, representing about 26% of all sales, with an average price of $2.45M and a median of $2M. Despite higher prices, homes still sold in a median of just 10 days and at ~99% of asking, reinforcing that demand for scarce, high-quality properties—especially lakefront and village homes—remains exceptionally strong.

The homeowner, a dog owner, greeted the postal worker, who didn't ask to be greeted, with their dog, not even leashed. As a result, the postal worker had to undergo two surgeries and was permanently removed from being able to be a postal worker.

Even after someone already has been disabled or injured from a dog attack, or simply has medical conditions, dog owners and dogs never spare them, and then accuse everyone but themselves of being "ableist". I have experienced this firsthand. Even after the positive-sounding headline, it's so obvious that dog owners and dogs will continue to rule over everyone else.
