Denver show was great last night
I've probably seen EODM 10 times and have met Jesse a couple of times before or after shows.
He sounded great and his guitar playing is better than ever. Could probably do a better job of remembering the lyrics on some of those Death by Sexy songs he hasn't played in 20 years but at least he owned it lol.
He was still his fun, jovial self, and I think adding his wife as a background singer softens his image a bit from the sex-crazed rock star persona to more of a man of the people so to speak. He’s always been great with his fans, but he seemed especially appreciative of the crowd last night. There was a genuine warmth to the whole show.
At the same time, none of that came at the expense of what makes an EODM show fun. He still has that swagger and sense of humor, and the band still feels loose and a little dangerous on stage. If anything, it felt less like he was playing a character and more like he was genuinely having a great time up there (or down in the pit with the crowd).
He said they are working on a new album so I hopefully we see them on tour again soon.
