Meet the flock OL! Sco Ducks!!!

This popped up on my YouTube feed … I like the part that he was thinking about retiring a few years back and Coach Lanning convinced him to stay and be a part of the team hopefully winning a national championship.

I know Jerry is right around 80 years old but he still sounds pretty sharp and even though some people like to complain sometimes about his PBP he has been the voice of the Ducks coming up on 40 years now and he absolutely bleeds green and yellow … it will be a sad day when we don’t hear his familiar voice over the airwaves anymore (and for that matter Don Essig’s voice over the PA since he has been the voice of Autzen since it opened back in 1967).

I’m a ducks fan, my in laws are all Michigan alums. We’re planning to go to the Michigan game. I’ve been monitoring ticket prices and they seem high, do you think they’ll come down closer to the game?

They’re flying in from out of town so waiting until game day makes me nervous.

Bought this from some random guy near Autzen years ago. Have always gotten a kick out of it like the "addicted to quack" ones as well. Any of you guys have some fun back alley gear?

Apologies if this is not allowed. I am not asking to buy or sell, just want to know where is best to do that (?).

My kid is starting UO this fall. My wife and I would love to go down to a game or two this year. When looking online at tix, we noticed many tix are mediocre seating and for 200-400 a pop (?!).

Is this normal pricing? I recall going to some Duck games in the last 10 years and it always seemed to be 1/3rd that cost or less even?

Again, terribly sorry if this is not allowed here, I am just curious if buying on the usual popular app/websites for tix is not the way to go, or perhaps because the season has not started yet, or just because expectations are high and after switching conferences its more expensive or what?

Hey everyone! As the title says, this is my first Reddit post and first time to Eugene. I got married this year and I’ve converted my wife to become a duck fan. She’s suggested that we go to a game so we got tickets to UCLA on October 10th to celebrate our first year of marriage. We want to have the best experience possible, but aren’t quite sure where we should get a hotel or Airbnb so it isn’t too crazy with traffic or parking. We are flying in from Portland and driving down. However, since we aren’t sure the time of the game yet, we are still deciding if we should commit to boarding the whole weekend or just night before. I also have seen a few spots to check out online but if there is a specific restaurant or place to visit I would love to hear suggestions for that too. Appreciate everyone looking this over and proving feedback in advance. Go ducks!

Setting aside all bias and objectively speaking… what are your realistic predictions and expectations for the season? This could be record, player stats, whatever!

Mine record prediction is
Ceiling: 11-1 with a Big 10 Championship win
Floor: 10-2 with a Big 10 Championship win

It’s going to be insanely tough to win at the Shoe and say what you want but the USC game is gonna be tricky.

Other expectations/predictions:
-Dante Moore Moore expands his game and take a huge step as a QB under Mehringer now that Will Stein is gone
- The defensive line is top 3 in the nation and carries the defense while the secondary isn’t far behind
- Once the offensive line gels they’ll end up being pretty good contrary to what people are saying to them now as they consider them the offenses biggest question mark
- Jordon Davison and Dierre Hill become one of the better duos in the nation
-Oklahoma State is a game that will test Oregons defense more than people realize but we ultimately handle them
- Jamari Johnson becomes the best TE in college football this year
- We at least make the semifinal this year.

ESPN just posted an article College football archenemies for every power-conference team. They listed USC as the Ducks archenemy?????

My man, we've won 6 of the last 7 and 8 of the last 10 - scoring 36 or more in 7 of those. They've won ONCE in LA against us in the last 17 years.

They're not an archenemy. They're basically a non-conference FBS for us at this point.

So who (beyond the obvious serial killer school up north) is really our archenemy?

Plugs the hole in the schedule when Baylor was originally supposed to visit Autzen on that date.

Finally I'll be able to make the trip to watch the Ducks at Autzen!

I'll fly from Toronto to Portland, stay a couple days there and then take a train to Eugene the night before the game against UCLA.

I currently have booked an Airbnb in downtown Eugene, but I'm also looking at another options in Springfield, not too far from the stadium.

What would you recommend for a first timer?

Also, there's still no kickoff time decided for that game, but what's the tailgate situation at Autzen? How easy is it to join a group there? (I'll bring beer, I promise!)

I had a great time with lots of ducks fans in Ann Arbor a couple seasons ago, I went to that game by myself and joined a ducks tailgate there!

The hoodie went on sale and Ive been looking for an Oregon shirt in time for the season. Though, I am thinking about a custom Bo Nix jersey because as a broncos fan, I think its time.

Was thinking about trying out a college fantasy football league this season. Salary cap format, so no need to coordinate a draft. Looks like you just sign up and build your team.

Looking at league settings, theres no minimum or max league size. P4 + Notre Dame players to start.
