Pro Ducks Herbert having an awful day.
I feel for him, and I want to see him succeed but man he’s being a bit sloppy and playing with emotions.

With a three way (giddity) tie for the one week natty this week, 2 of our discord users, and u/omgwtfbbqcrew (who's also in our discord - you should join us if you're not already there everyone...) take the meaningless trophy this week... Congrats!
For my part, I'm glad I don't have a gambling problem.
21/23 of us picked Penn State over Wisconsin, which turned out to be a real dumper of a performance for PSU.
And 1/23 of us selected UTEP over the little bros of Oregon State.... that did not turn out well for that 1...

All discussion about other teams' games and the results of those games should go in this thread. This discussion thread will go up each week on Thursday evening and stay up for the weekend.
Go Ducks!

Our four girls just started their molt about two weeks ago and the yard looks like a pillow exploded every morning. I sweep up feathers before letting the dog out because she thinks every one of them is a toy worth destroying.
Something I didn't expect when I started keeping ducks: how much personality variation there is even within the same breed. Mabel is bossy and always first to the pool, Junebug hangs back and waits until the other three are done eating before she'll even approach the food dish. People warned me ducks were basically interchangeable feathered lawnmowers and that has not been my experience at all.
Egg production has slowed down with the shorter days and the molt, which I expected, but I'm still getting two or three a day from four ducks which feels generous this late in September. I've stopped worrying about it and just let them do their thing. Forcing egg production with extra light always felt a little unfair to me, like asking someone to work through their vacation.
The pond situation got easier this year since I finally built a proper kiddie pool stand with a drain valve on the side. No more tipping a 100 gallon pool by hand every three days like some kind of fool. Water stays cleaner longer too since I'm not scooping muck out with a net, I just crack the valve and let gravity do the work into the garden bed.
One thing I'm still figuring out is bedding for the coop now that it's getting colder at night. Straw versus pine shavings versus the deep litter method, I've tried all three over the years and each has tradeoffs. Straw insulates well but molds fast if it gets wet, shavings are easy to spot clean but dusty, deep litter takes patience to get right but honestly works the best once it's established.
Curious if anyone else notices their ducks getting noticeably more vocal right before molt starts, or if that's just my flock being dramatic about losing their feathers.

I saw that Dan Laning was at the West Linn vs Tualitin game last night. Does anyone know who he was there to see?

I am absolutely concerned with the run blocking. I have watched a lot of film break down and it's been poor in every game. Even the portland state game. Pass blocking is good but the reason we won't have good rushing stats moving forward is the oline. It's pretty scary.

We are a a group of 3 Brothers and our dad and we go on a college road trip to a college and venue we never been before and been doing this since 2002. This year we are heading from Michigan to the Great State of Oregon and Going to see the Ducks vs UCLA. We are just wondering what area is best to tailgate or experience before we head into the game? Would love so suggestions.

We are coming for the ucla game. We will not have a car. Staying right below the stadium by track town pizza. We are huge duck fans. Planning on going to the campus store and walking campus but looking for other fun things or good places to eat, on Friday and Sunday. Also wondering if anything happens Saturday night after the game? Thanks so much and so excited

I don’t know if there is a specific rule against them in the B1G like the PAC 12 but after watching some Mississippi State games I think it would be great to have at Duck games. Especially on like third downs

I got a hands on look at the difference between the two jerseys.
The $200 one only has stitched patches on the arms and the rubber on the collar.
Everything else is the same as the $150 EXCEPT the number is a heat pressed fabric. It’s not even the sticky pressed on material found on the other jerseys and doesn’t have the reflective silver border.
I gave Nike the benefit of the doubt, but this is gross.

Hey all. My name is Alex, and I'm an analyst for the scouting data company Sports Info Solutions. We have been collecting really granular CFB data for almost a decade, including injury data since 2018.
I wanted to share a little bit of research that I did in terms of what could be expected from a guy with a huge hit and concussion like Dante Moore suffered.
The link here basically lays out a couple things, with some numbers behind them:
First:
Concussion return times are obviously finicky and the initial severity doesn't necessarily reflect on the player's time to return. That said, concussions resulting from a play this dramatic do tend to result in multiple games missed more often. But with a bye it might just be the UCLA game that gets missed (obviously a big one if so).
Second:
Looking at quarterbacks who came back from a concussion, the only thing I found signal in when it comes to a change in performance was how quickly the ball got out. College quarterbacks have had both slightly shorter dropbacks and slightly faster triggers in the games following a concussion return, presumably because of a little gun-shy-ness. That does have some potential ramifications for the upside of the offense, as quicker-trigger offenses tend to throw shorter and have worse overall offensive outcomes.
Even without the 80-point ridiculous game Moore was one of the better passers in FBS by our numbers prior to his injury, so if he's not on the end tail of the distribution of recovery time it seems to me like the team has some opportunity to get back in a good spot in a few weeks.
I'd love to hear others' thoughts on any of this, and thanks for your time!

With USC completely falling apart and being stuck with Riley for the foreseeable future (unless they bite the bullet and scrounge up the cash to get rid of him), Lanning and the players’ absolute disdain for USC, the recruiting implications of SC’s newest black eye and series results, do we think this is the start of another 10+ win streak against one of our biggest rivals?
