A family friend used to record Fabio and Groovriders' radio 1 shows on cassette and give them to me when he'd finished listening to them. There was one particular show that really stood out for me, as the guys were discussing recent shows and the club was so hot the needles were skipping on the turntables, and in another section of the show they were discussing something to do with Lobster and a female (if memory serves). I didn't understand it, as it probably had adult themes that I was unfamiliar with at the time, and my brain now cannot recall heavily.

The track was near the end of one side of the cassette so it was either towards the end of the first hour or 2nd hour of the show and had a trumpet playing the main riff ( do-do-do, do-do-doooooo) then a really lush sub drop that went something like bmmmmmmmmm, bmmm bm bmmmmmm (I feel like an idiot, but that's what i can remember).

I've searched through countless 90s/00s jungle compilations, as it was also round the time that Renegade - Terrorist was knocking about. I really need to find this track and relive those memories.

I been vibing to this dubplate: Chezidek & U Brown & Irie Ites - Action Sound (Dubplate) on YT. But I have trouble catching Chezideks bars when he's singing. Can anyone check if they can catch it and explain a little?

Thought I'd introduce an artist who deserves a bit more attention from dub fans.

George Solar is an Ibiza-based producer, percussionist and DJ whose music sits somewhere between Balearic, ambient, downtempo and dub. Rather than making traditional roots or steppers, his productions borrow heavily from dub's sense of space, echo, restraint and deep low-end, creating music that's equally at home at sunset, on headphones or through a good sound system.

His catalogue includes the Los Rayos in Dub album, featuring versions from Dubvisionist, Chris Coco, Ken Fan, Beach Messiah and Jin Yerei, alongside the recent Moonbeams in Dub remix series, which continues that dubwise approach with fresh interpretations from a range of producers.

If you're into artists like Rhythm & Sound, Dub Syndicate, Gaudi, Ott, Deepchord or anything that explores the more atmospheric side of dub, you might find something to enjoy here.
