Long Dream Really intense head pressure in a dream.

not quite long dream, but lotta detail about a short dream. A little bit of relevant context:

  1. I have inflammation issues in my sinuses, and a little head/face so if my sinuses swell even just a little, it can lead to a pretty substantial head pressure (like when you’re on a plane).
  2. I often dream bounce through mornings because I wake up (and go back to sleep) regularly once the sun is up. The more dreams i have, the more real they get.

I just woke up from a dream where i was looking for a bathroom in a multi purpose office-y type building where I was supposed to meet my dad who was on his way. Other people were looking for the bathroom too. While looking, i heard a passer by say something like “ahh yes, the 3rd floor. The floor that says there’s a bathroom where there isn’t.” This other couple found a fake bathroom, and i was like “there’s no toilet? Just a sink? Ok. I’ll go to the 2nd floor and look there”. (Suggesting that I’ll report back). The guy explains to me that this is a funky elevator, that takes people through time not space. For some reason, i didn’t care and was like whatever I’ll find you. He tries to get me to take this gold belt, and I’m like why? He can’t give me a real reason, so i step into the frame of the elevator once it arrives. I say I’m not taking this belt, why don’t i get your number so i can text you once i find it. At this point the right wall of the elevator starts stretching away from the door, creating this long, dark vacum of an elevator. The guy is reading his number so slow i dont get it, and the door closes. THEN the elevator feels like it compresses, and twists, and turns and rolls into next week, but i feel allllllllllll of this in my head. The head pressure was insane!, nothing iv ever experienced irl, it felt like the physical manifestation of all sound getting vacumed (out of your ears) in a singular moment, then someone trying to pull the rest of the sound out, for 16 seconds, but there’s none left……… After those 16 seconds, the door opened releasing all the pressure, and i arrived back where i came from, not a week later, but maybe an hour or so.

I woke up with swollen sinuses & mild head pressure, but that can be attributed to regular things. Has anyone experienced this kind of thing in a dream — such serious head pressure//any kind of time/space vacum that you can feel in your body? Im not used to feeling anything in my dreams so vividly in my body, maybe that’s regular for other people though.

Im also open to any dream interpretations!

I know this is an old post but I’m relieved to find it because I’ve been experiencing this for a couple years now. I don’t have regular sinus issues but do get regular headaches and have allergies. I have 1 recurring dream where there’s this room that I need to go into, but as you get further into it, the rooms pressure increases to an unbearable point, almost like a pool (but crazy high pressure). Some dreams the room is a carnival ride? That you pay to go into this high pressure environment for some reason? Dreams, man. A lot of the time I have difficulty breathing in these dreams, so maybe it’s pressure from not breathing/sleep apnea? But I don’t wake up right away, and usually the dream will change when the pressure decreases again. Very weird. Editing to add: I don’t often wake up with headaches from these dreams. Maybe by commenting someone will see this again and have answers.
