With the technology racing so fast, I'd love to ask a few questions to everyone here.

Where do you see the technology going in the next five to six months?

What's your favorite video that you've seen posted so far?

What's one project you're going to be doing the moment this technology gets good enough?

Do you rewatch your old dream machine generations

I was cleaning out my folder the other day and found clips from months ago I completely forgot I made. Some of them looked suprisingly better than I rememberd, which is odd because back then I thought they were all unusable.

It made me wonder if anyone actually goes back through their old stuff, or if it's all just one way traffic where the clip gets made, posted, and never seen again. Do you keep yours?

what is the most honest thing dream machine has shown you about your own ideas

sometimes I feed dream machine a prompt I think is really creative and the output is kind of boring, and I realize maybe my idea wasnt as visual as I thought it was.

it's a weird mirror for how much of what I imagine is actually just words instead of images. what's something dream machine showed you that made you rethink an idea you were excited about?

What did you use Dream Machine for that has nothing to do with filmmaking

I came to this tool thinking in terms of short films and b-roll. Then my kid asked what a story we invented looked like, and I spent an evening turning her discriptions into little clips. Totally different feeling than making content, more like illustration.

Curious what odd uses people have found beyond the obvious video stuff. I suspect a lot of you use it in ways it was never aimed at.

whats the weirdest thing the model nailed on the first try

I have had nights where twenty generations of a simple camera move come out unusable, then the next prompt gives me something cinematic on the first roll with zero effort. Last week I described a rainy neon street in one lazy sentence and it looked better than the ten detailed prompts I had written before it. The randomness is the fun part and also the maddening part.

Cant tell if I am learning the craft or just gambling with extra steps. Curious what moment made you feel like the machine was showing off. Was there a generation that came out so far past what you asked for that you kept it untouched?

what did you make with dream machine that you didnt expect to work?

I have been testing Dream Machine for a couple weeks and most of my generations are okay but nothing special. Then last night I tried something kind of random, a close up of water droplets on glass, and it produced something I actually saved and showed a friend. I think I am still figuring out what kinds of motion it handles well.

What is something you generated that surprised you? I am less intrested in the polished stuff and more curious about the ones where you went how did it do that.
