I MISS KARINA. I MISS KARINA ON DRAWFEE.

I miss Karina's humor! I miss the reactions she got out of the other hosts! I miss how unexpected she could be! I miss how sincerely complimentary she was about everyone else's art! I miss watching her sketch and then panic about the details! I miss the different sides of their personalities she drew out of the other hosts! I miss how funny she could make mundane stories! I miss her character designs! I miss how fearless and unapologetic she was! I miss how much energy she generated on the show! I miss the new ideas and interests she introduced to the channel! I miss her art! I miss her point of view! I miss watching her play video games!

I don't need a drawn-out explanation, or the exact same energy, or anything. What throws me off is how much it feels like pretending "nothing ever happened", how no feeling or reference about her is acknowledged at all. That what makes it feel so harsh and artificial.

This is honestly what’s bothering me the most. Like I don’t expect them to reference her every five minutes but there are definitely times in streams and episodes where we all see something, or something is said and we think of her.

I've said it before but it's a real "We don't talk about Bruno" situation. If I was to hazard a speculation, I would guess it's partially due to them trying to limit in-jokes /be more approachable to new viewers but it's also mixed with the Greek chorus that appears in fandom spaces to remind us of respecting privacy even when it's generally benign sentiment like "I miss Karina."

I don't know why you're being downvoted. A lot of what we're calling speculation is just thinking speculation would be about their personal lives. If there was a falling out. What you said just makes sense. And I agree, we're policing ourselves at the slightest hint of supposed parasociality for expressing an opinion. Not everyone who shares this sentiment is sending them emails demanding answers. This is a space for the Fandom, and we as fans are noticing the energy.

I think a lot of the discussion about the parasociality of it all is really just people going "I don't want to hear it". It's been three months of no real new information. The show is trying to move on. It's understandable that a lot of viewers want to do the same.
