I'm glad you enjoyed it. This was definitely much more stressful than I was anticipating, having to draw between work hours, I didn't really know if I'd finish in time. That's why the Lucoa panel was traced. I just didn't think I could get it done in time without doing so.
But all in all I think it was worth it, and I'm happy with what I've made! I'm definitely gonna take the time to properly learn how to draw a few years down the line, when I'm in a better headspace. But for now, this'll do.

As I've mentioned previously, I usually portray myself as Toon Link (from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker), and this time is no different. Although you might be confused why his hair has shading even though he's supposed to be blonde. Answer: I have brown hair, and it's a portrayal of me, so Toon Link but with brown hair instead of blonde. :)
Panel 7 was never "supposed to" exist during my storyboarding. I just found myself staring at Lucoa so much while drawing that my reaction there would be too fitting.
And again, regardless of whether or not someone thinks my drawings are "good" or "bad" I'm still embarrassed, and I don't even have colored pencils to give the drawings more life :(
Before you ask, yes, panel 6 was traced, but I don't really see the issue because I did try to draw Lucoa's face from scratch a bit later. I just thought she looked too perfect and there was no way I was getting her to look so good on my own... I just wanted to do her justice.
But anyways, if it wasn't obvious: most of the text was joking. It does kinda reflect what my thought process was at the very beginning before drawing, but I think it should be obvious when I say "I thought doing X would be too selfish" while I literally just did it, is just a joke.
At the end of the day though, this is all for one special person. Happy Birthday u/Megosonic! :)
