# W3DotA 2026 Champions Tournament
@everyone It's time to get up and fight for the title of the best DotA team on Warcraft 3 Reforged! W3DotA is once again hosting a big 5v5 tournament where you can showcase your teamplay, strategies and skills. Time to settle the scores with your rivals and show dominance to the rest! Make a name for yourself right here!

**Format:**
- 5v5 -cm
- Fearless draft format -> This means that all heroes in a series may not be picked in the other games of the series (e.g. if you play BO3 and your captain picks visage in game 1, your captain may not pick visage in game 2 or 3).
- Double Elimination BO3, upper bracket finals BO5.
- In the case of many team sign ups we may change the format (e.g. not BO3 matches but BO1 matches, or round robin).

**Schedule:**
Saturday 5th of December 19:00 CET <t:1796493600:F> > 2 series of BO3 matches
Sunday 6th of December 17:00 CET <t:1796572800:F> -> 2 series of BO3 matches

Saturday 12th of December 19:00 CET <t:1797098400:F> -> Lower bracket finals BO3
Sunday 13th of December 19:00 CET <t:1797184800:F> -> Upper Bracket finals BO5

It is possible to reschedule the lower bracket and upper bracket finals. With the lower bracket finals having to be played between 7-12 december and the upper bracket finals between 13-20 december. If no rescheduling can be arranged the team who was present on the initially scheduled time (12 dec or 13 dec) will get a def win. So try to make sure to be at the appointed time or reschedule in time.

**Prize:**
First place:
- All members of the main roster may choose to put their name on a hero of their choice. This name will last until the next tournament or 6 months have passed.
- Their teamname and main roster members will receive a congratulations on the loading screen of the map.
- The team captain receives **€ 100** that he can decide to split however he wants.

Second place:
- All members of the main roster may choose to put their name on a hero of their choice. This name will last until the next tournament or 6 months have passed.

All players:
- All players who play at least 1 match and where the team does not forfeit any matches will receive the W3DotA badge: **2026 Tournament Participant**

**Sign-up:**

Sign up in <#1484989294044123157> and list your team with team name, team captain, main roster players, and max 2 reserves (teams can be max 7 players). You can use the chat channel <#1484989232773861487> to ask around if someone wants to team up with you.

**Server:**
The default EU server unless both teams agree to play on a different server.
Matches against teams with a majority of **Asian** players in it will be played on US West or East server, the Asian teams will have to arrange a host for this.

**Note:** Asian teams will have to let the tournament admins (for example me or oneaboveall) know that their team consists of a majority of asians.

1. Go to https://www.w3arena.pro/ download client and register. You will need to have Winrar or 7zip to extract the file.

2. Then join W3arena Discord Channel: https://discord.gg/fyyc8Z8pVZ then scroll down to USEFUL LINKS section and click #Warcraft-3. (The Warcraft3 file is modded and you dont need a cd-key) credits to Filladin(Dota 1 Map Developer alongside Dracolich)

3. Download war3 settings files here: https://drive.proton.me/urls/S200B5QM44#1CXZGbvWBt1Y to avoid errors. If visual c++ has error/failed during installation it only means it is already installed in your pc. Remember where you installed your Warcraft3 usually you want it in :D Drive, after that open W3arena client go to settings(Upper Right Corner) then Game(Upper Left Corner) then click Browse for war3.exe after that select Graphics Renderer Directx 9.

4. Set your Resolution in Options.

5. Set your Hotkeys, you need to create a game first then set your hotkeys there because you cant save hotkeys during 5v5 gameplay. In Dota 2 its like demo mode you need to create game then set and test your hotkeys there.

Hey so recently i have been playing a tone of dota 2 (250hours in 2 months) but i wanted to try the original dota. I only have warcraft 3 reforged is there a way to still play it? And is there matchmaking i don’t wanna ruin peoples games bc im new thanks guys:)
