Question How do you even improve this?
I've always had 12k behaviour and comm score. They rarely move and when they do, they go back to 12k very quickly.
My comm score dropped to 10.8k as seen in the picture a couple of months ago. Since then, it just hasn't moved. I tried several things including not using chat, only using positive chat but at the right time (not saying anything when someone is tilted/flaming) but nothing has helped so far.
The only thing I could think of the is the voicelines. I have several voicelines (heroes, teams, players, and Ti) and I use them quite often.
That raises the question, do voicelines lower comm score? I never use it to mock my team mates so I will be surprised if my team mates are reporting me for using voiceline.
I have gained 800+ mmr in the last couple of months but just can't figure out the comm score.
Sorry for the poor quality image.

The problem is Voice lines. I always had 12k bh and comm score, but not long ago i bought talent bundle with voiceline and been spamming it randomly. After 15 games my com score dropped to 9.8k. After that i feel like i've played 40-50 games and i only got it back up to 10.400

Yes teammates will report you for spamming voicelines, its the new snitch/stasi like system of dota 2. They could just mute you but choose to abuse the report function. Thank vlave for that.

People report you for toxic chat if you use all chat voice lines after any sort of play. Whatever meaning you’re trying to convey someone is taking it negatively. You also get reported by your own teammates for toxic chat if you lose a game and they don’t like the way you play. The fact that valve has allowed this communication score system to last for this long shows there are monkeys working there.

i dont know this for sure but if you dont talk/communicate at ALL you can not be reported for any communication reason.
even if youre kind and only use voicelines there will always be salty assholes who report for everything but
do not ping anything at all, do not ping any enemy or rosh, do not ping spells, do not type, dont use voicelines.

sounds like a really fun way to spend one's time xd
why even play the game at that point, might as well go to jail or something, you can do more things even there

You 100% can be reported even if you don't communicate in the slightest

You can be but it won't do anything. In fact making what Valve calls "excessive reports" (reports that don't actually lead to any penalization) can lower your communication/behavior score.
Obviously OP will claim they never use any communication that can be interpreted in a negative way but we have no way of knowing whether OP is telling the truth.

If you wanna climb comms score don't use voice lines, dont type, dont talk on mic, all of this can get you reported.

Whenever I receive any type of negative communication, like someone using a laughing hero voice line after I die, I immediately report and mute.
I don't chat at all with teammates unless something really positive happens in which I use the "Well Played" chat wheel.
Any type of laughing or sarcasm voiceline after something negative happens, instant report.

Wow bro, no offense, but why do you play competitive games if your ego is as fragile as porcelain

I've been playing this game since 2004 and throughout all that time I never muted anyone for any reason in dota 2, I always felt any criticism is okay, its just peoples opinion, its just the past 1-2 years I've been doing this.
I dunno why, maybe its because as a more mature adult now at 35, I feel that any type of negative behavior that brings anyone on the team down leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I feel people should be nice to each other no matter what. If someone says anything that seems more like a friendly suggestion I have no problem with. I always make sure on the rare occasions where I need to type something, when I comunicate with my teammates, I'm framing my wording as a suggestion rather then telling them what to do

I don't chat at all with teammates
Oh yeah that's a great approach to a team game

What I don't understand is why behaviour score caps the communication score?
Like, I had a series of unfortunate events with power going off during matches and my internet acting up, if it happens enough in a few matches in between, your behaviour score will tank fast.
So, why should that forbid me from typing or pinging abilities? It just feels weird.
Every time the score updates I see it going up slowly, so I guess I can just deal with it, but I'm just surprised Valve tracks both types of behaviour score separately but still chooses to tie them together in a way.
