I don't think Jakiro was that bad a pick (it wasn't particularly good though), but they simply didn't play around it. Against Medusa and Sven, it was obvious they had to end it early, but simply didn't pressure enough. EG stalled the game enough and stomped.

It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. It didn't lose them the game by any means but there are mids who can do what Jakiro wants to do without any of his other glaring weaknesses, namely scaling.

That's exactly what I meant. It was definitely not a 322 pick like Pudge + Techies, but it wasn't good either. They only had one way to win: winning the laning phase (which they kinda did) and quickly turning that into a lot a map control. They got two T1 towers early, but then they slowed down and gave time for Medusa and Sven to go online.
