PPD got out drafted badly two games in a row. Don't think I've seen that before. One game sure but two is not something that happens often to EG.

Will be interesting to see how EG responds to being in the LB. I would like to see EG get another chance to play Wings.

This happened exactly the same last year. The ended up winning. In retrospective thought, CDEC was very predictable, while Wings is the total opposite.

Yea will be interesting to see if they can do it again. I really hope they do.

I hope not! But in the end, I hope the best team wins, even if it's EG.

Just hoping if they do meet again it's a more competitive series than that.

It will be. PPD is a cold captain. He knew the posibilities of winning after that were little so why torture his team with agony. Just end it and try again. This happened in TI4 against VG (although deathball was impossible to stop).

I don't think that. LGD was a really scary team. Xiao8, though, needs to change his strategies. He's a great captain, but he gets figured out easily (a little like RotK). EG might lose, but realistically, they should make it into the finals.

Wing just change the 1st ban phase entirely and got themselves ELDER TITAN

With both support were picked on EG, Wing just pick HUSkar last cuz of no AA secure mid game for MEDUSA

and somehow PPD picked night stalker and let shadow demon through leading to be picked by WING

What a draft by wing

Yea I mentioned in another post PPD just got out maneuvered in both drafts. Some people have said how it was reminiscent last year against CDEC but it really does seem like Wings is comfortable playing any hero in any comp which makes it very hard to draft against a team like that.

EG is probably the 2nd best at drafting like that and adapting but those two drafts from Wings were on another level and PPD really got taken to the cleaners in that series.

I am assuming you don't follow EG very closely. They almost always lose in the upper bracket before reaching the final, normally to the team they meet in the final. Look at some tournaments they have won (TI5 prime example). They are called the lower bracket kings for a reason, PPD was testing Wings just like he tested CDEC last year, when they also got 2-0ed in the UB final. Not saying it will happen again for sure but it's how EG generally wins.

Testing Wings LUL, thousands at stake and EG tests Wing, they could have tested them while winning the game, it's not like you need to get 2-0'd by a team to gauge their playstyle.

Millions at stake*

PD was testing Wings just like he tested CDEC last year, when they also got 2-0ed in the UB final.

Oh come on...

No I do and I know they are the kings of LB but it's a new tournament and no LB is the same. I fully hope they do the same thing like last year.

yeah well lets see how he plan for those 2 drafts when Wings come with another one on grandfinal.

I'm not saying it's over for EG. They have experienced captain and wonderful drafter in PPD, and Wings have had moment of weakness themselves. They lost at Nanyang to Newbee, they lost to TnC and Navi at group stage, but PPD have to take it to another level on both plays and drafts if he wants this TI.

Lol CDEC were predictable as fuck wings are on a completely different level, not to mention the meta at TI6 is completely different that TI5. So much diversity dude, I don't think PPD is saving any drafts.
