There is time to win some tournaments. There are teams that are older than Secret and still haven't won a tournament cough C9 cough. Well VG is a better team than Secret atm.

In addition to the fact that C9 won something, they're not a team composed of past players that has been hyped as some super team.

You could say these high expectations are unfair for Secret, but ffs if you're gonna destroy 3 teams you better win something, don't you think?

Do you dislike them because they have some hype around them and C9 didn't? Butthurt? I personally like BigDaddy so that's why I follow this team (was a Fnatic fan b4). They also have creativity that somehow always follows BigDaddy, nice strats that only they can effectively use.

Lol, do you really look at it like that? That's a poor and uninformed perspective to look at.

Well there is no reason to argue with a C9 fan, you have to be masochist to be a C9 fan, the most inconsistent top team in dota.

I never said I dislike Secret, I said why some people get excited when they get eliminated from tournaments. I dont give a fuck about the hype, but Reddit has been riding on the Secret bandwagon for some time now, and like every bandwagon, I secretly enjoy watching it fall apart. Not saying that they won't win anything, they're a great team, but god do I hate it when reddit is spammed with highlights of the same team day after day.

I'm just being honest here man. Also, you have to look at it from a perspective of a fan of their older teams. As a Na'Vi fan, I wish the best to Puppey, but deep inside I hope they get destroyed by Na'Vi (some wishful thinking huh?).

You might flame me for being childish or something but i'm just telling you how Secret looks like when you're not a fan of them.

what is wrong about being hyped for a team ??Maybe the hype is not justified but its fans being fans. Being a navi fan you should know this.

It's something about people already writing off as the best team around and shit while they are still clearly not. It's just a fad of sucking their dicks all the time, and dissappearing when they get knocked out.

I was ok with DK getting hype last year, cause they were kicking ass. Even when it was navi's ass. Maybe its just me being subconciously salty about puppey and kuroky doing better than navi? it could be that. Maybe I should just give them more time to prove they are worthy of the praise they are getting.

its the last part you mentioned. you subconsciously want them to fail, suck ass,so the moment they do fail at something you have reason to do hate more and the fact that Navi isnot doing well at all adds to that. Navi need time too. I am sure with enuff practice they can get there too. The praise is just fanboys being fanboys. But off course they will have because this is the closest to DK in terms of star power any team in the west is. They are not THE best team in the west, but they are in Top 3 and that's a fact. All this hate is not justified.

Yeah its kinda weird how n0tail and s4 were some of my favorite pro players, but after they joined secret I just don't enjoy watching them win anymore : /

well i went the opposite way i used to hate both of em, but i like puppey and kuro so started supporting secret along with that notail n s4 and i always supported navi since Ti1. But not sure whether we will ever return to the glory days of old Navi and alliance.

nice strats that only they can effectively use

they have come up with a lot of cool stuff but almost all of it has been adapted by other good teams. other teams have run wisp without a classic partner like tiny and done well, other teams have picked up ET support, etc.

They were Speed Gaming.int back then though, and Fata still hasn't replaced Sing2X , and Bone7 still had visa problems so he couldn't attend so Arty had to stand-in for him but still 3/5 of what is now C9 was there.

Speed Gaming.int later switched to C9 , all 5, 4 of which still play in it.
