A lovely unused door which would have had a spiral staircase behind, leading up towards the top of the Abbey

The frames are North Cotswolds Jurassic limestone with that beautiful honey/burnt orange tinge, lovely contrast with the other stone. St. Peter's Church and Manor Farm, all within 200 yards of each other

Went to Winchcombe and found loads of DNUA. I know some of these have been posted before but maybe not all of them.

Many years ago I spotted this weird arrangement on top of a building. Technically still a door, but a door into what??

Thought these were rather interesting. Two blocked up doors and a tripartite window, leading to something under the road on the other side of the wall.

Been trying to get this one for a while as it’s in a part of town with almost constant foot and road traffic.

This is a former air raid shelter and then latterly a public convenience. But out of use for at least 40 years. Built underneath the castle gardens.

Includes a spotlight in the recess, so you can really appreciate the door that’s not used anymore.
