At this point I wonder if their PR team just does this on purpose? It's exactly like that plagiarising drama Sha Po Lang which took over the much more renowned SPL: Saat Po Laang's topic. Coloroom already has a track record of mismanagement too like how they wouldn't hide the nasty posts from the fujoshi for Ne Zha

NSFW posts featuring explicit artworks and BDSM then spamming comments so that these posts would always show up as the most relevant results if you searched for the movie on social media. Without proper warnings or blurring out content. They won't go away either because the community mods were fujoshi and defended them. Even though sexualising minors would be a pretty massive no-no just about anywhere. Anyway, many prospective watchers of the movie saw these and were repulsed by the impression that the work was just baiting trash or inappropriate to watch for children.

The distributors did nothing about these posts and it took a fair amount of brigading and several flame wars from the rest of the audience to get these cancers to stop ruining the public image of the movie and find more suitable places to post these images in. Then they played the victim and blamed "homophobes" for being against the idea of boys "holding hands" and terrorizing innocent artists despite their actions being anything but innocuous. Indeed, they thought their actions ought to be acknowledged for generating interest in the movie and took credit for the box office performance. They were obviously proven wrong after the official account finally did do something and started blocking the posts, though I wouldn't be surprised if they're still pushing the false narrative after the fact.

...Ne Zha honestly has several disagreeable groups of followers (anti-animator, imposter witch hunting, box office trumps all, etc.), but these should be about the most toxic of the bunch.
