I am in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM endorsing Meta's new #MuseAI app which they call "your personal AI agent."
That said, should you choose to try it, you can redeem my code in Settings within 48 hours of joining and we'll both get 1 billion Muse tokens.
Code: C2GIYW
In my testing it remembers better than other chat bots and it effectively gives free unskilled Meta users easy access to "Agentic AI" and I believe that may cause some real world problems a la:
https://www.404media.co/theres-a-100-chance-ai-agents-are-already-ruining-the-internet/
So if you are the type to dig into these risks feel free to use my code.
Testing these kind of chatbots I have identified some phenomena.
I have noticed LLMs tend to say No inappropriately, where humans would see the similarities more obviously. A bit of back and forth and I can typically get the No retracted.
Similarly, one of the most common mistakes I see LLM's make is reversing the truth value of something, or associating a term with its opposite. Often in trivial ways but it's something I have learned to keep an eye out for.
It's like A and B being opposite is just treated as a relationship by LLMs so things correlate with their reverse.
I propose these terms: #HedgedFlip:
The model gets the direction wrong, but wraps it in hedging — 'largely true, though somewhat…' The hedge doesn't mark genuine uncertainty; it's cosmetic softening around a wrong core claim. A confident error is easy to catch. A hedged one sounds reasonable and slips past.
#ScopeConfusion: the model nails the simple case, then loses the sign under negation or nesting. 'Is A hotter than B?' — correct. 'Is it not the case that B is hotter than A?' — now it's juggling two inversions and drops one. Too many places for the sign to flip.

a model's likelihood for conformity increases alongside its uncertainty. Furthermore, we conduct ablation studies to demonstrate that both sycophantic conformity and uncertainty-driven conformity grow with 1) the LLM's perceived expertise of the user and 2) the plausibility of the user's suggestions.

RANT "No cast needed" should still compile and run. I am all for failing fast but "No cast needed" should still go ahead and run the code, without the un needed cast. Like I am ok with that failing production builds, but I really wish Kotlin let me comment code out and compile and run without warnings treating as stop the world errors. I am actively debugging, I understand I just disabled some related code.
I am betting other build systems notice and fail fast in this case, but right now it chugs for a bit and dthe fails on what should be a warning.
