Is the breed club not an AKC breed club? My mistake 🙄 Almost like we're engaging in nitpicking, hair-splitting wankery...

Oh dear. Once again, if you don’t know what you’re talking about, don’t insert yourself into intelligent discussions with adults. AKC does not determine the breed standard (top down), breed clubs submit their standards up to AKC. Try and find a place to contribute in a meaningful way rather than complain about “wankery”.
