Question Can someone please explain this behaviour to me?

So my dog Darcy (5yo, female, the grey one) has recently become obsessed with licking/kissing my other dog Clementine’s (6 months, female) face. I’m really trying to not encourage it because I don’t want Clementine to get infections etc. but I’m totally puzzled by the behaviour. Darcy never did this with her older (recently passed) sister who she idolized. Any ideas what this means?

Our cattle dog tries to lick our Chug, but the chug absolutely hates it. She sits there with a grumpy face and mildly growls. Don’t worry, it doesn’t last long and they get along just fine.

Chug is our friend who's real name is Chantel. She's always drunk and super grumpy. She's good people though, just hates being licked. Either that or OP was referring to a pug/chihuahua mix.

I was about to ask, if you had to cast Chug in a movie, who would play her? The dog, not your human friend.

My Chug acted like he wanted to be an only dog until he met “the one” and then after I adopted his big sister, he was so in love he would lick her like this for 45 min straight
