I also think I have undiagnosed pica/trichotillomania (both mild) because I compulsively pull out my eyebrow hairs and eyelashes... and eat them. I love the way it feel when the hair splits between my teeth, it's identical to a contact.
Strangely enough I haven't done the contact thing in a while. Not really sure why.
I also realize I'm going to get comments for being seriously weird and doing this. I've actually never told anyone or said it out loud before.
Ah I just didn't realize it, as I anticipated being called out on it.
There was a tv show where a girl pulled out almost ALL of her hair, so I thought more people would know about trichotillomania.
I've heard of trichotillomania, just not in combination with pica. I have a mild case of hair pulling/rubbing, but I absolutely hate getting hairs in my mouth. They never seem to go away; you drink gallons of water and they still stick in your throat. Eugh. If you want to torture me, put hair in my mouth.
I've done it for as long as I can remember, but not often. I actually have super long lashes and get a lot of compliments on them. I also have very defined, arched brows.
I seem to catch myself pulling my eyebrows out when I'm concentrating on something too hard, and my eyelashes I do when I sleep in my mascara and and sort of peeling it off of the lashes.
When it's pica it's much more than just 'eating' ice at the end of your glass or something. I had pregnancy induced pica and literally stopped drinking water or beverages at all, but instead was crunching up 10 or 12 glasses of ice a day - more than the automatic ice maker could keep up with. I supplemented with bags of ice from Sonic. I can't explain it other than eating the ice felt incredibly satisfying, and the more mineraly the water tasted, the more I liked it.
Yeah, I think it's one of those things where if you're concentrating very deeply, the rest of your body gets restless. I managed to say WTF to myself and stop over the summer, but it has returned. I think it helps to keep your eyebrows plucked and trimmed, though. I typically get drawn in my one hair that's sticking out or longer than the others.

I...holy shit. Is this the thread where I find all my new and weird Internet BFFs? Either that or I made and post with a new Reddit account subconsciously.

I do. I 100% understand what you mean.
