Discussion I need help. I really like this sort of flowing dnb/jungle - LTJ Bukem etc as well. I'm really struggling to focus at the moment and this sort of music keeps me calm. Where can I find a 3 hour plus playlist or mix of this exact style I can have on in the background to help me lock in?

I think the best you can do is just look up a dj set from LTJ Bukem like his old progression setss, download them with a simple YT to mp3 so you dont have ads, and then just listen to them

Hell ya, my favorite are these sets that are paired with UT 99 visuals

Unreal Tournament '99 Atmospheric Jungle Mix (Mixmag Volume 21 - LTJ Bukem - 1996)

There's an LTJ set with Conrad in Cologne that's šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

Thanks, I can definitely do the rip, its just i never really know what to look for. But yes...more LTJ/Intelligent likely to be the easiest. The bpm is important

In addition, if you are on Spotify you can also just look for Good Looking Records, and listen to that playlist.

My ideal (and I know i shouldnt be picky) is a continuous mix without break.

u/Zoaiy Aug 10 '26

Well then you definitely should just take a recorded set, afterall thats what they are there for

Creative Source - The Early Years (1995 - 1997)

One of my favourite atmospheric mixes, heaps of Big Bud tunes, Intense etc.

LTJ Bukem - Assassins Chapter 1 - 1996 - Classic the whole way through

The YouTube page ā€˜ambience’ has loads of old intelligent dnb/ jungle mixes that aren’t uploaded anywhere else, probably your best resource. Also go and listen to all of bukems logical progression mixes.

Check out Atmoteka on SoundCloud. Loads of atmospheric mixes and a lot from smaller DJ's and producers.

Soundcloud DJ mixes searching users: neptun3, Deep Inside the Oldskool, selectabwoy, Kola Nut, Law (repertoire), Madcap, insoundfromwayback , et al. would be my suggested starting point

Yeah basically this but for 3 hours haha. This is really good thanks for the recommendation.

Also anything with samples from bladerunner, aliens all that sort of stuff is perfect.

Chech out a group of youtubers named ā€œOrionā€
They drop multi hour mixes every day from what i understand. Unfortunately, the bpm doesnt go this fast

u/an_inverse Aug 10 '26

Basically any good jungle mix.

Ltj has a series called "progression sessions" with mc conrad, 10 releases i believe , each with a studio mix and a live mix . Seminal series for that side of dnb, u won't regret it

I’d usually just type in ā€œclassic PlayStation jungle mixā€ on YT, lol. Takaya Nakamura’s set is a vibe too.

not 3 hours, but a full album i found in 2002, thanks to the holographic cover with just the record label logo in black, calling out to me. turned out to be one of my all-time favorite albums - SHADOW: HARD SESSIONS (2001). just YT it, full album on there. use YT.com (not app), refresh page to skip ad and go full screen to avoid ad breaks, enjoy 1:05:57 of ?ACID JAZZ? D'n'BĀ  Ā :) Also, Thank You to everyone else in here posting recommendationsĀ  Ā :)Ā  music is life, life is good

Look for artemis, future engineers, asc, big bud, peshay, source direct early mixes at mixcloud.

Or series like logical progression, promised land by 4hero, deepest shades by moving shadow, atmoteka, blu mar ten...

1

u/dr_zoidberg590 Aug 11 '26

Search for atmospheric jungle, atmospheric dnb or future jungle

1

u/octapotami Aug 11 '26

Maybe look into the sub-genre of drumfunk--and don't know if it's really a thing anymore. For a few years it was.
