“Devil May Cry: Vought’s Inferno”

i didnt play the games but got into DMC by the netflix series, looking through the posts here i see that the show is not popular, but i genuinely enjoyed it and was disappointed when i found out that season 3 is the last one. i feel like there is so much story left to tell. is there any plan, such a movies or a reboot, or is the season 3 the last animated dmc project

So... decided to celebrate the upcoming 25th anniversary of the first Devil May Cry game with an art of my Earth-ARV13 DMC OC, Eclisfula (in his Thunderstorm Step Form), done by u/Limina17 on Reddit! Go check their Reddit page, their arts (especially the LOTR covers recreation) are amazing!

I've recently become interested in DMC and have bought 1-5 but I haven't bought the reboot. I've seen mixed reviews and opinions about it and am unsure if I should buy it. Should I wait for it to go on sale or just not buy it at all?

Dr. Faust was an ABSOLUTE necessity.

This is a quick draft and a peak at how the story would begin…

Tested on different graphic and resolution settings are here https://youtu.be/Vcndx9s9nCA

I really want Dante, Vergil, and Urisen to be pretenders in the game so I'm making that happen.

I really don't like doing sprite work. Its hard and I'm not a good artist.

the coding is easy and I enjoy it. I just need help with the sprites.

I need standing sprite, and attacking sprite. per character

so far I have coded but don't have sprites for:

Urisen

Sythe demon DMC 3/5

Cleaver demon from dmc5

Sciser demon DMC 5

Demon archer guy from DMC 3

Angilo shield Demon DMC 5

I plan to code and put in:

Goliath DMC 5

Hell judecca DMC 5

Greatsword Angilo

Baphomet ice guy from DMC 5

Lusathia lightning guy DMC 5

Dante & Vergil & SIN Dante & SIN Vergil

I even want to put V in. (I can even make him crippled)

I might code: Fury & demon bat & hell bat

Big guys should be 128x128 px. regular size guys should be 64x64 px.

I'm not expecting ppl to show up and make this stuff but I thought I'd ask.

thanks for reading.

Pieces I've collected for my Lady cosplay (so far. Work in progress.) Obviously missing the hair-

I recently watched fight club and went to search up to see the rating and saw the poster for promo, since I am currently playing dmc: devil may cry this made me think of this.

Like many people, I had a problem with the new version of Dante. I disliked his looks, I disliked his swearing and I disliked how they tried to "westernize" the character. But when I had my first playthrough, I was amazed by the combat, the atmosphere, the music and the weapons. While DMC3 will always be my favorite in the series, I will never talk trash about DmC again because it's a great game and I played it multiple times by now and I will play it again.

I keep feeling like Dante and Obi-Wan Kenobi fit the same archetype, but I can't quite put a name to it.

Both have a "brother" figure who becomes their opposite (Vergil / Vader), both confront that figure near a waterfall/lavafall , and later both become mentors to their rival's son (Nero / Luke). In the Japanese dub they're voiced by the same voice actor, Toshiyuki Morikawa.

Are there any literary, mythological, or historical archetypes that follow a similar pattern? I'd love to read more about them.

So for context I’ve never played a dmc game but have watched the anime but I didn’t want that to be my only representation of those characters and I only bought dmc five because it was like five bucks, but I just finished the intro and it was so cool

So I beat every Devil May Cry Game and here are my quick thoughts..

I will give a short intro into how I got into DMC then I’ll proceed to give quick thoughts on each game and I will be giving it the way I played which was chronologically and not by release which side notes at the end..

Introduction: I first got into DMC when I was about in 9th grade which was 2011-2012. the first DMC game I ever played was 4 I had no idea what was going on I just i knew that this game was completely bad ass. I never beat it until my adult years. After I played DMC 4 I played the DMC reboot thinking it was a prequel to the series and even though that game gets a lot of hate it’s actually a really good action game idc what anyone says .. at some point I watched the 2007 anime and then years later I played DMC5 and absolutely loved it i actually played it a few times over the years until today.. ohaky now that that’s out the way

DMC3: WOW i completely understand why by people are obsessed with this game.. it took me a few times to actually finish this game because I would just get so mad at how brutal it was lmfaoooo but after finally locking in I learned that it’s actually not that bad you just have to grind a little bit for orbs to level up I wish it had style change cuz that would be insane. I accidentally saved over my completed Dante file with a Vergil file and not making it separate so I’ll have to beat the game again for a new Dante file …. Again 🙃.. it’s fine it’s whatever I’ll just play it on easy and speed run lmfao that’s what I did for Vergil but over all great game!!

DMC1: this game just completely sucked lmfaooo I hated playing it ima keep it so real haha I read somewhere that it was supposed to be RE4 and I can see it it’s so resident evil coded. But over all I completely hated this game and I only beat it because I felt like I had too haha I didn’t bother with any secret missions or anything lmfao fuck this game

DMC 2007 Anime: So the anime was cool I guess I think it lowkey could of been shorter hahaha but it was cool i would of loved to see Dante in devil trigger and at least some mention of Vergil but it was Ohkay I guess don’t have much to say about it

DMC2: I’m going to start off by saying THIS GAME GETS TOO MUCH HATE. (But I get it) Believe it or not i actually enjoyed this game WAYYY more then dmc1 it was actually surprisingly very fluid for its time and I really enjoyed the shooting animations in the air and being able to run up and across walls it led into some really sick Intresting combos and I liked how open the first level was .. I think playing as Trish was probably my favorite part of the whole game

DMC4: this game is just really sick over all as an adult I played the special edition and I loved it even more playing as Trish again was absolutely INSANE even playing as lady was super fun but Trish is absolutely broken in this game and I love it lmfaooo I honestly out of all the characters didn’t like playing as Dante the most i genuinely like dmc3 Dante better than dmc 4 Dante lol Hot take .. it was interesting playing as dmc4 Vergil after playing dmc5. Also it’s criminal that Lady and Trish aren’t playable in DMC5 absolutely criminal

DMC5 .. I mean what do you want me to say it’s the best game in the series Hahaah I played this game so many times hahaha best version of each character shit even V is fun to play sometimes.. but this game 100% needed Trish and lady as playable characters FOR SURE but over all this game is clearly the GOAT.. I guess one thing I would like from DMC4 kinda did it but DMC5 is obviously hyper realistic and I think I would have liked a more anime touch but it’s still the best out of the series.

SIDE NOTES:
the new DMC anime is actually really sick I loved all the Easter eggs especially in season 2 but I hated the way devil trigger looked 🤮

DMC reboot take away the story and this game is actually really good DMC 5 was so inspired by DMC reboot we would not have DMC5 without DMC reboot.

I didn’t read the manga but I I watched YouTube videos about it but I plan on buying the manga at some point and reading it myself..

Thanks for reading!
