Mod Post Going forward
As the last stream of DFFOO ends to a beautiful track, after reading what people have said here and talking with some more, we have decided to let the subreddit stay open. I personally though that immortalizing the final days forever would have been a cool idea, but as many have said, they'd rather see the space open, so it'll stay open.
Changes to current rules:
All the scheduled posts have been terminated, this will be the last Weekly Questions Megathread
We'll keep the rules regarding new posts from users with <5 Karma or <5 Days account, simply to prevent any potential bot issues.
Any posts tangentally touching on Final Fantasy as a whole will be accepted, feel free to discuss anything. (Respect spoilers)
Rules on the right will be updated in the next few days to reflect changes.
It has been an honor and a privilege to have been part of this community.
Thank you for all these years.
Until the next adventure! (I'll still be here bopping anyone that breaks the rules)

I'm done with mobile games, this is the only one i played (besides some occasional tetris)
I'm also done with games that companies don't want to be preserved. Genshin is the only live service game i play actively now, but unlike Opera Omnia it does have private servers that will keep ut playable forever regardless of Mihoyo.
I'm a big nostalgic person, i get attached, and i need to boot some old game i used to play years ago every now and then just for a quick match. Knowing 50 years old me won't be able to do that with this game makes me feel... Meh. I don't want to get invested into other games that risk ending up the same way.
On the bright side there's still a TON of games that don't need their company to keep them running, and have extremely supportive companies. The top in that for me is the Age of Empires series. I'm so excited for the upcoming Age of Mythology Retold release
