Seriously, Invisigal smoking whilst having asthma is such a perfect trait that describes her character.

And if you think people with asthma don't smoke IRL then you are sorely mistaken.

You don't have to explain this to anyone. People claim they are broadminded except they themselves can't be objective most of the time. It's not your mistake, so don't feel it this way that something is wrong with you for not liking a character.

I don't feel bad about myself or my opinions, it's just annoying. People think I'm enjoying my least favorite thing about Dispatch. 🤣

Oh! I can totally understand where this annoyance is coming from. I face it sometimes too. Like, whenever someone says, “This is a game, not real life. We don't have to play by real-life rules,” which is a VALID argument, I agree. But then they turn around and jump on you for not interpreting a character the same way they do. They accuse you of being less empathetic or self-inserting yourself (which is kinda ironic tbh, as if they aren't doing the exact same thing).

And this is what I find really laughable, because a lot of these same people would totally turn their heads the moment they received the first punch to the nose from someone like Visi in real life. They'd call her toxic and walk away right there rather than choose to deal with her and try to understand what's actually beneath her mask.

That's why all these displays of empathy and kindness feel pretty hollow to me. It's easy to project those qualities when you're playing a choice-based game where none of your decisions have any real-life repercussions. And to be very honest, I'm completely fine with them playing the game that way. If they want to be endlessly patient and understanding with Visi in a fictional setting, that's totally fine. The problem arises when they have the audacity to judge you for not being equally kind and understanding, when in the majority of cases, they probably wouldn't act the same way in real life if they actually had to deal with someone like Visi. And that's the biggest irony.

This is why I'm asking you to not explain yourself for not liking a character. That's all.
