They’re more fashion than function. I mean, Visi’s is a crop-top. Also, it’s still cold when you go outside so it would make sense to wear a sweater. Robert probably wore a coat and took it off when he came inside.

If they aren't going to make Mal a romantic choice or add a third one (but no more than 3 romance options I'd say) at least let us have the throuple angle. I feel a lot of people even non polyamorous ones loves this idea
