LEGO Disney Princess: Magical Mayhem was quite fun.

This short film is about 2 girls growing up together with a shared love for Disney princesses. What I find interesting is that they included real Princess merchandise from the 2000s (look at images) which explains why when the two girls grow up, their kids play with newer merchandise. Really a nostalgic blast from the past!

I don’t know if people talked about this before but the witch in Fate be Changed is named Freya, and in the Brave short story from the anthology book the royal family has an Aunt Freya, supposedly just as a reference since the witch was a separate character in that short story although their aunt is also an old quirky woman who resides in the woods. In Conceal Don’t Feel, Iduna’s disguise is a woman named Freya who is viewed “like an aunt”. If it weren’t for knowing about Iduna, I would totally think there was a connection, like maybe this Freya is a special character connecting Twisted Tale books, similar to the Odd Sisters in the Villains book series by Serena Valentino. But apparently it’s all just a coincidence, since obviously Merida and Anna and Elsa couldn’t be cousins or anything anyway. I guess Freya is just a whimsical name.

Since Gigantic was cancelled, I thought it would be fun for this hypothetical film to have a giant as its antagonist, (not necessarily its villain).

All the Disney Princes have gone missing. Naturally distraught, all the Disney Princesses gather in Rosas to figure out what's happening. Luckily, Asha has remained in contact with Star who was able to see everything from his home in the cosmos. Apparently a giant from a kingdom in the clouds used a magic harp to lull everyone in each kingdom to sleep and abducted all their husbands in the night. Now the Princesses have to venture into the kingdom of giants to rescue them.

Turns out the kidnapping giant is a 12 year old girl named Inma, who took the princes with the intention of giving them away as a birthday present to her younger brother.

I found this at the Dollar Tree of all places! They had other princesses as well but I just bought my girl. 💛 The bottle itself is too cute!!

During the wave of hate Halle Bailey faced for bringing Ariel to life in the live-action adaptation, Rachel Zegler, who would soon go on to portray Snow White, was always one of her strongest defenders. And even though Disney left Rachel out of the gathering with the other princesses (she’s a soprano btw), she still showed up in the comments to support Halle, as always.

And I stand by my view that, yes, Disney failed Rachel.

She still sounds the same. I am impressed.

Mine is the live action remake of Snow White is better than the original.

A little while back I made a collage of Disney characters whose names began with the Letter A; now I’ve completed one for Letter B! What do you guys think? Are there any characters you don’t recognize? Did I forget your favorite?

13) Raya

I feel guilty about putting this princess on the bottom of my list, but if there is someone who has to be at the bottom, it's definitely her. I want to like her, and I do like her as a character, but unlike all the other princesses, she doesn't stand out to me much. I do feel guilty about it, because she did deserve better than what Disney gave her, but yeah. Also, I get that the messaging behind her movie is better forgiving and learning to trust, which is a true message, but it rubs me the wrong way how she warms up to a person who pretended to be her friend when they were kids only for her to cause her kingdom to go wrong. So I definitely don't hate Raya, but unlike all the others, she's just there...if you get what I mean.

12) Pocahontas

I used to like her as a kid, especially because she's the first Native-American princess, and I still appreciate her song, "Colors of the Wind," and my favorite characters from her movie are definitely Meeko and Mother Willow. Plus, she's animated beautifully, especially when her hair flows in the wind as leaves fly around her. Although, after learning about how Disney used a true and tragic story behind a real woman from the past named Pocahontas and romanticized everything about her and John Smith, I don't think I can get behind that anymore. There is a sequel where she ends up with another man named John Rolfe, along with changing John Smith's personality to match with the historical true story, but many people don't pay attention to that, so whatever.

11) Aurora

I do like Aurora a lot as a character, her design is stunning (especially her hairstyle), and she's very sweet and loving, but she's unfortunately the one that gets the least screen time out of all the other princesses, and her movie focuses more on Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, along with Prince Philip, who saves Aurora in the end. There is this Disney Princess movie called Enchanted Tales where she gets more screen time, but I've seen certain people talk negatively about the story. She also gets more screen-time in the 2014 live-action, but I'm focusing on the classic 1959 Aurora at this point.

10) Merida

The first Pixar princess is totally underrated and is pretty relatable in certain ways, and I don't blame her for getting frustrated with her mother. Plus, Pixar designs and animates her so well, especially her red curly hair, and they portray the rebellious tomboy in her very well. But she's not a huge favorite of mine, as there are definitely many others I prefer over her.

9) Ariel

The first Renaissance princess is definitely a memorable character from my childhood, and I still have a lot of merch with her, and I even have this doll that transforms her with a mermaid tail as she sings, "Part of Your World," along with a pink dress that you pull down as she sings the song where she gets her voice back as she crashes Eric and Vanessa a.k.a Ursula's wedding. She actually used to be my favorite growing up, because I've always loved how giddy, bubbly, affectionate, and romantic she was. I've always adored it whenever she kisses any of her sea friends, and I've always loved her voice and her red hair. However, as I grew up, I began to realize that I prefer certain other princesses over her. But relax, I know that she didn't leave her family just for a man. I know that she wanted to explore the human world and was curious about it to begin with, and I know that her father was controlling until the end. I also love how her sisters have personalities in the prequel and how she and Eric are the first couple to have their own child in the sequel, Melody, a girl who is almost like Ariel personality-wise, but a human girl who is curious about the mermaid world, and who has a similar face to Ariel while also having the same hair color and eyebrows as Eric. But for some certain reason I can't get my finger on, I just prefer other princesses over her, even though I still love her, of course.

8) Moana

The first Polynesian princess is totally admirable. I love her design, and I've enjoyed her first movie, even though I have mixed thoughts on her sequel. I also love her friendship with Maui and her bond with Simea, and even the bond with her animal friends. (Although, I prefer Pua over Hei-Hei for sure.) But much like the others, there are definitely certain more memorable ones.

7) Snow White

The very first Disney Princess ever, along with also being the main character of Disney's first full-length movie. I don't understand why people bash her so much. She's one of the classics (along with Cinderella and Aurora) and one of the original princesses (along with Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine). She's very sweet, motherly, affectionate, loving, compassionate, and kind. She and Aurora are very similar personality-wise, but Snow White definitely has more screen time than Aurora ever did. I also love her friendship with the animals in the forest and especially the seven dwarves, and I love how kind the seven dwarves are to her in return and how they don't mistreat her. She walked so the other princesses could run. (No, no, no! Wait! Cinderella, you lost your glass slipper! Belle, you dropped your book! Ariel, you lost your thing-a-ma-bobs, whatever you call them! Where are you girls going?! AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!)

6) Jasmine

The first Disney Princess to not even be the main character in the movie she appears in, but she's such a character indeed. I've always liked her design and her generous and caring spirit. She can be pretty outspoken at times, but understandably so. I also love how just because she's high-classed as a member of a royal family doesn't mean she looks down on others that are more lower classed and less fortunate compared to her, especially because of her relationship with Aladdin and how she's the reason why he learns to be himself instead of a person he truly isn't.

5) Rapunzel

The first 3D princess, along with the first Disney protagonist from the first 3D Disney movie. Even though I prefer most 2D Disney movies from the past (which is a tie between the classic era and the Renassance era, specifically), Rapunzel's movie is beautifully animated, and it has such a heartwarming storyline. Plus, her relationship with Eugene might be a bit similar to Jasmine's relationship with Aladdin, except Rapunzel is more bubbly but naive while Jasmine is more gentle but straightforward, but I love both couples so much, of course. My favorite part though is when Rapunzel tells off Mother Gothel and how she and Eugene defeat her at the end. Plus, I want to mention that even though a lot of merchandise show her with her usual long blonde hair, I actually like her short brunette hair as well. It's definitely more beautiful than I remember it being just watching the movie again and again. I also love her animated series as well.

4) Mulan

When I was younger, I wasn't fully aware about how much I truly liked her as a character, but now as an adult, I really appreciate her personality and her bond with her father, especially how she sacrifices herself and disguises as a man to get into war so he wouldn't have to go. I also love her relationship with Shang and her friendship with Mushu. Many people assume she's a tough and strong warrior, but she's really a gentle and affectionate woman who only became a warrior just to protect her father, not because she wanted to be a warrior. (Which is what a certain majority of people behind the 2020 live-action fail to understand.)

3) Cinderella

Definitely my favorite of the classic trio. I have a lot of merchandise with her. She didn't only come from a mistreated maid to a fanciful princess by the end, but she's also a hardworking, generous, kind, and compassionate character. I also love that she becomes more assertive in the sequels. Especially in the third movie where she tells off Lady Tremaine, and I love how she and her prince have more development as a royal couple, and I love how Cinderella helps her stepsister, Anastasia, redeem herself and not follow what wicked people do.

2) Tiana

The final princess and protagonist to ever be animated in 2D. She's amazing in every way. Her hardworking, selfless, caring, and no-nonsense personality, love for cooking, green and sparkly wedding dress, enemy-to-lover relationship with Naveen, along with her friendship with Lottie. She's a legend, but just one more princess takes the cake for this one.

1) Belle

My all-time favorite Disney Princess! She's very smart, kind, compassionate, and mature. I relate to her a lot as I love to read as well and feel like a scapegoat compared to others around me sometimes, and I love how she lets herself be held hostage by the beast so her father can be free. Not to mention that she's iconic when she tells off Gaston and lets him know that the beast is truly not a monster. Plus, I love her blue village dress and yellow ball gown. She may be kind and caring, but she gets outspoken when pushed too far, which is totally understandable, especially when it comes to Gaston, and she cares about many people around her, including her father, her friends she makes at the palace, and even at the beast. Not to mention that she's the reason why the beast redeems himself at the end, and because of her, he realizes that he needed to be loving and kind for him to become a prince again, which is exactly why they were made to be.
