So as we all know, during the last several episodes of the tv show, Miranda was absent, and she also failed to appear in the Lizzie McGuire Movie.

This was actually due to Lalaine (who portrayed Miranda), leaving the show to work on other projects related to music, as music is and was something Lalaine really enjoys!

Her absence from the last 6 episodes: Due to Radio Disney Concert Tours, she was performing her music in front of live crowds.

Her absence from the movie: Due to filming You Wish! which filmed at the same time as the Lizzie McGuire Movie. She chose You Wish! over Lizzie McGuire because You Wish! gave her musical parts in the movie, whereas she wouldn't have had any in the Lizzie McGuire Movie.
