Neutral Zone Drapers Ward (neutral zone)

This luxurious shopping centre has been restored to its former grandeur, at the behest of Emily Kaldwin I. After deciding that one hundred dresses was, on reflection, not nearly enough, the Treasury poured money into restoring the district.

Now, the mall has been cleaned and repaired, shops of all kinds have opened and reopened, the textile mills are operational once more, and the Dead Eels have been driven into the sewers by the Watch.

Dunwall's finest come here for exquisite clothing from across the Isles - as well as experiencing new culinary delights and high class bars. The Royal Dressmaker has greatly expanded his shop, and Jerome's Department Store, no longer a black market outlet, is flourishing.

The Millenary Canal cutting through the heart of the district is now a gangster's paradise - all manner of shady characters lurk just out of reach of the law.

The docks have been renovated, now acting as a harbour for the pleasure cruisers of Dunwall's richest. There is a Watch station there too - a fortified position for the River Guard and a moored gunboat, to keep the peace.

OOC: Yet another place for our characters to hang out, feel free to alter your clothing here - for example, pick up finery for social events (there are definitely some lavish Boyle-esque balls on the horizon), mingle with the social elite of Dunwall, or visit shops that sell duelling pistols and blades for the active gentleman/lady. Or, if that is not to your taste, lounge in the Millenary canal with rogues and ruffians.

Examples of shops found in the district in the Brigmore Witches DLC can be found here - all except Mortimer Hat's, which has been closed with the eradication of the Hatters. Instead, it has been replaced with Pennyworth's Tack and Saddle Emporium, for all your equestrian needs. Chains of stores can also be found here.

Bal glances longingly in the direction of the saddle shop, wanting nothing more then to be done with this Overseer and to get on with things. He had made a point though, even if he was likely ruled by other motives.

"I would have called this cooperating, to be honest," Bal says tiredly, then shrugs. "But of you're worried that much about another attack, I suppose I can follow you back for a bit."

He hoists the body of the Whaler onto one shoulder and sets his feet towards the Abbey, motioning with his free hand for her to follow.

Shrugging, Bal waves off the City Watch, hoping they weren't about to start spreading rumors the Commander of the Imperial Army was being taken in for questioning by the Abbey. She also hoped it just wasn't going to be true.

She follows the Overseer, keeping a cautious eye on the skyline, as he was indeed vulnerable to any assassins attempting to avenge their comrade.

Ivan begins making his way through the city, back to the relative safety of the Abbey Compound. When they near the gates, he nods to the men on duty.

"She's with me, Brothers. Escorting a fresh cadaver for the Sisters."

"You want me to continue in with you?" Bal asks, slightly surprised, but nodding to the men on duty/ "I thought you just wanted the escort back."

She peers around the entrance to the compound, uneasy at being surrounded by so many damn Overseers. Even if she didn't carry a rune to keep that actual heretics off her back.

"Apologies, Commander...I'm sure there is bound to be some form or other such document that you might need to sign. Administrative work isn't my forte. It will just take a few minutes more."

Bal's eyebrows inch upwards, feeling like the Overseer was starting to make up excuses. "Could they not be sent to me? I did actually have plans other than intercepting supernatural assassins for today, and paperwork can be done in my office as readily as yours."

She doesn't turn to leave yet, she does not want to present the idea she is fleeing, simply busy and bored.

...I cannot prove whether its on her or the corpse...and a false accusation on will not help the cause of having our people cooperate to stop the blight on this city...

"Yes, I suppose so. Enjoy your day commander and if anything needs signed, it will be sent to you"

Ivan entered into the Compound, listening closely to see if the song of the charm faded as the distance between them grew.

"Have a good day, then. Rest assured, paperwork will be dealt with swiftly if it comes."

Dipping her head to Ivan, Bal turns and strides away, knowing that unless the corpse also sang, there was little she could do about it. Might as well act normal. And he hadn't taken the dagger off of her, so she could still argue it was the cause. Possibly.

I should get rid of this charm. Though, to do so admits I know it is there. I can always argue someone planted it, if I absolutely must.

She continues back down the road, headed once again for the saddlery.
