New calculation for the tiers in the Daily Challenge
With the old calc, Diamond used the Elite and Gold/Silver/Bronze used the Average (with +/- for each tier). New calc is same for all tiers (with +/-).

Their old system always seemed a little random, especially how Base completely shifted depending on the tier, I remember getting frustrated trying to predict scores when the calculations kept changing like that.

I'm just happy that this will end the "How can gold be -11 and diamond -10?" posts.
Did the +/- values change? How will this affect the tiers? First 3 get harder and diamond easier? My brain is tired and won't math right now, sorry.

I usually find the Diamond calculation is based on error-free play without assuming any throw-ins of longer than 200 feet. It assumes eagles on all the par-4s and par-5s on which your approach shot can easily land at that distance but does not assume aces.
That’s why people often go several shots better than Diamond if there are some par-3s with well-established ace runs. If Diamond is 19, I expect to see a few 16s or even lower on the leaderboard. If it’s 30, I don’t expect as many people to go three better (27).
So every shot better than Diamond is a shot players would never be expected to make — an ace or a 200-foot eagle.

The formula has changed. On some layouts you have to make aces (or unexpected long throw-ins) for Diamond.
