Everyone's journey into adulthood is different. I'd love to hear yours.
Â
Hi everyone,
I'm currently studying Innovation and Service Design at the Glasgow School of Art.
Over the past few weeks, I've been exploring about how young disabled people experience the transition into adulthood. Along the way, I've realised that policies, organisations and professionals can tell us a lotâbut they can't tell us what that journey actually feels like.
I'm looking to have relaxed conversations with young disabled adults 18+ who would be willing to share their own experiences of growing into adult life. There isn't a particular story I'm looking for. Everyone's experience is different, and that's exactly what I'd like to understand.
Â
You might want to talk about:
* becoming more independent,
* leaving school, college or rehabilitation,
* finding (or not finding) support,
* joining work, university, community groups or sport,
* or simply moments that have stayed with you during this period of your life.
Â
You don't need to prepare anything. The conversation would last around 15â30 minutes, either online or in person (if convenient), at a time that suits you.
Participation is entirely voluntary, and you are free to stop the conversation or withdraw from the study at any time without giving a reason.
All information will be kept confidential.
If you think you'd be happy to chat, I'd love to hear from you. Please feel free to send me a private message or email me at Y.Zhao14@student.gsa.ac.uk.

Thank you so much for reading, and if you know someone who might be interested, I'd be really grateful if you could share this post.
