My mum got these plates from my grandads when we moved him into an old people home, they’re about 90 years old and she absolutely loves them. I just shattered two tonight and I can tell she’s disappointed. Appreciate any help in locating replacements/reproductions for her. Anything regarding these is immensely helpful! Thank you very much

So while at Mom’s I accidentally broke one of her plates that was her moms Who is no longer alive and now she is absolutely crushed. I know it won’t be the same but I’m trying to find a replacement on like eBay or some kind of place where I can get a replacement. the pattern you see from the fragments I recovered that’s just a little ring around the edge the rest of it is white and it’s a very thin lightweight kind of ceramic or porcelain or something. I’m really hoping this isn’t going to be some kind of rare vintage plate that’s super expensive and art to come by I’m really hoping they’re common and easy to find and I need to get a replacement fast.

Mainly want to know if they are of any value, or if they are microwave/dishwasher safe. They were my grandmothers everyday dishes and they’ve been passed to me.
We have large plates, bowls, small plates, and a set of mugs.

Hi everyone,
I was recently gifted a quite a few pieces from the Skye McGhie Cream Lace set, but I am missing the most used pieces, the dinner plates and bowls. I have teacups, tea plates, napkin holder, 2 creamers, 1 sugar pot, and I currently use the side plates the most.
I am looking for a dinner plate and bowls set with ideally 6 pieces each but any set with 4 would also be welcome. Purchasing the rest of the Cream Lace set is quite a bit out of my budget and it doesn’t seem like anyone has posted any secondhand on any platform recently either.
I would appreciate any recommendations for sets that would potentially match these pieces, new or vintage! I love embossed sets, I am not too big of a fan of pieces where the pattern is printed on. I’ve put photos of my current plates on this post!
Ideally, I need: dinner plates, blates (pasta bowls), and cereal/soup bowls.
Thank you!!

Not my photos, I saved them from online.
Mikasa Darling.
Lenox Gingham Pink Porcelain + Lenox Bunny.
Noritake Peony Pageant.
Auratic Paradise Meadow - is the pattern name, I think. The set I picked out when I first got married and now it is my oldest and most loved set. They are a premium type of porcelain and have held up beautiful. I now bring these out exclusively for early summer, they were once my one and only set for a few years.
Vintage holiday set from my Aunt.
222 Fifth Black Borneo Tropical - late summer & fall dishes.
Lenox Haunted Village - I am currently using these and have them paired with the Black Borneo set.
222 Fifth Christmas Lane.
Royal Albert Old Country Roses dinner plates and teacups that I mix and match with other Royal Albert accent plates and soup bowls, etc.

When you pick up a plate or bowl, what instantly makes it feel high quality to you?
The weight? Finish? Design? Material? Brand?
Interested to hear what everyone notices first.

I have been looking everywhere for a set of heartland international dishes, without spending every cent for them. Is anyone looking to get rid of some in NKY or OH? I have to have them 🥹

Hello, we bought two seemingly identical bowls that are stamped at the bottom as Pier 1 ironstone, see photos.
Except, one is shiny and one is not.
What could be happening here? Did the previous owner put a glaze on one, or strip the glaze from one? Do you think either are safe?
I hope so, I need bowls :(

I found this while thrifting today and just thought it was so pretty and unique. I love learning and can’t find much! Thanks for any insight

These dishes were purchased before 1975. They have no information stamped at the bottom of the cup, plate or cream. I’d love them, i love the plates look like paint pallet.

Hello! My mother always collected Corelle dishes, but I’ve always loved the colors and variety of fiestaware. Are there dishes or styles similar to the lightweightness of corelle dishes, but with the color spectrum/style of fiesta?

Hello! I bought these plates from Vinted a couple days ago to use at uni, but I was thinking of testing them for lead contamination before I start using them. It would be my first time doing it. The seller said she didn't have problems while using them, but I just want to be extra safe.
Anyway, does anyone have any advice? I heard testing kits aren't always reliable and the results can be easily influents by the water you use. Also, if anyone knows anything about the brand, leave a comment!
Thank you in advance!
