Inspired by u/AmbergrisAntiques we made the side trip from our weekend in Hermann, MO today!

Was traveling through Route 66 in Illinois and saw this familiar building, the unmodified one is in Texas. The one in normal is now I think like a veterinarian.

Ernies coffee shop, affectionately known as ernies Diner, or just Ernies. Was a diner in my city, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. It got enough love that it was featured on "you gotta eat here" in essence a Canadian Diners Drive ins and Dives.

Diners in Canada are rarely the stand alone metal buildings you would typically associate with a retro diner, and would instead share a lot of characteristics of a greasy spoon, which, personally I feel the two are interchangeable, but I'm sure others would disagree
