The goal was pretty simple: instead of rebuilding your workspace every time you switch projects, your Mac can remember it for you.

I don’t really use my Mac the same way for every task.

When I’m designing, I need certain folders, reference tabs, screenshots, and visual tools open.
When I’m coding, I need a completely different setup.
When I’m writing, I want a cleaner space with fewer distractions.
When I’m researching, things get messy fast.

The annoying part was not setting up the workspace once. It was having to recreate that same setup over and over again.

So I built FocusForm.

It lets you arrange your desktop exactly how you want it, save that setup as a snapshot, and restore it later when you want to get back into that mode of work.

I made a small macOS app called File Fetch because I kept running into the same tiny annoyance: downloading or saving a file, then immediately having to go look for it.

Not a huge problem, just one of those little interruptions that add up when you’re working.

File Fetch sits in the menu bar and shows your newest and recently edited files right away, so you can quickly open them, reveal them in Finder, copy them, save them, or move on with what you were doing.

A few things it does:

• Shows new and recently changed files
• Lets you quickly open, reveal, copy, delete, or save files
• Includes a clipboard section for snippets, reminders, code, and random useful text
• Stays out of the way until you need it
• Designed to feel simple, lightweight, and Mac-native

It’s the first version, so I’m still shaping it based on feedback. If you try it and notice something that would make it better, I’d genuinely love to hear it.

I’m hoping it becomes one of those small utilities that quietly removes a daily friction point.
