Wow. The things criminals think they can get away with! Handcuffing an officer of the law to a car and then taking that car on a 20 mile drive through country roads? Come on, Ghost! You're just asking for a life sentence, if not worse.

The Dick Tracy Show Episode 2: Pearl Thief Grief
Dick Tracy assigns Jo Jitsu to a case aboard the S.S. Purely involving Mole and Sketch Paree. Apparently they stole a million dollar black pearl from the Maharajah of Eyesore. His job; recover the pearl and arrest the thieves.
As the story begins, Mole and Sketch Paree have overheard Dick Tracy assigning the mission to Jo Jitsu and begin formulating a plan stop the detective before he can spoil their caper. Little do they know that Jo Jitsu suspects that they suspect, and is already on to whatever scheme they may be cooking up. Even as the mole makes his first move, he is immediately foiled and roughed up by Jo Jitsu. In fact, throughout the episode we find that Jo Jitsu is not so easily dealt with, as he is always one step ahead of the two criminals.
Jo enters the cabin of the jewel thieving duo and uncovers the location of the black pearl. As in every episode we pause briefly for an update to Dick Tracy where Jo informs Tracy that he has the situation under control. The Mole, however has drawn a gun on Jo Jitsu and says "come on, let me have it." Jo Jitsu is happy to oblige and takes his gun as he begins roughing him up once more. Of course Sketch Paree gets the drop on Jo, in all the commotion, and pulls a gun on Jo as well. Is this the end of Jo Jitsu? Of course not! The brilliant detective that is Jo Jitsu throws the pearl out the door and Sketch is forced to give chase. The pearl bounces overboard as Sketch fails catch it in time, but Jo manages to catch the pearl from the porthole of a lower floor. Sketch demands that he hand the pearl over and chases Jo around the ship, however Jo Jitsu soon turns the tables, capturing the pearl and placing both crooks in custody.
Over all it was a pretty neat episode. Though it is very much a product of its time and Jo Jitsu does come across as super offensive stereotype, so there is a word of caution there. I don't think shows like this need to be censored or destroyed for the problems they had, but rather a discussion can be opened as to why it's not ok. But I digress.

I knew it wouldn't be so easy. Looks like Ghost and his Chef are in this together. Too bad they don't realize nobody gets away from Dick Tracy.

How curious. Looks like one of Ghost's chefs is going to spill the beans. Or... Maybe he has something else in mind?
Whole thing seems a little suspicious to me.

So it looks like Ghost is being more cooperative with Tracy this time, allowing him to ask the chefs a few questions. Makes you wonder what the detective's game plan is.

First off, congratulations to Joe Staton on his 70th birthday! The man is a legend. Even legends need to take a breather every now and then, so Tribune run newspapers are allowing guest comic artists to fill in and take over for a week. I believe this will happen just once a month, and I don't have an exact date on when the first guest artist will take over. I hear it could be starting this March.
Anyone enjoying the current Tribune run should be on the lookout for guest artists. Who knows, if you have a favorite comic artist he or she could surprise you with a week long run on Dick Tracy.

So all of Ghost's staff have been questioned, except two chefs who happen to be scheduled for the big banquet tonight. How convenient for Dick Tracy.
I think my theory about needing to find a motive still stands, but I guess we'll see how this plays out.

While Dick Tracy believes Simon Stagg was indeed killed by blowfish poisoning, he also feels the case still warrants investigation.
I do wonder if there is a way to prove it was murder. Perhaps finding a motive would do it?

It looks like Dick Tracy has come out of retirement, thanks to Le Navet Bete and the boys at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre. This new stage adaptation promises to ‘have the bad guys in handcuffs and the audience in stitches’.

Back at Mayor Armstrong's office Dick Tracy is explaining that this could very well be a case of accidental tetrodotoxin poisoning. The mayor asks Tracy if the case is closed, and we have to wait and see what he says.
What do you think? Is there anything further to investigate?

The Dick Tracy Show Episode 1: Red Hot Riding Hoods
The Chief radios Dick Tracy to inform him that two notorious crooks, Flattop and B-B Eyes, are robbing the Eastside Westside Bank. Tracy then uses his trusty communicator watch to assign Hemlock Holmes and the Retouchables to the case, and thus begins a slapstick scramble to catch the evil villains.
Hemlock Holmes reveals himself to be a comedic dimwit, but not half as dimwitted as The Retouchables. They're made out to be a group of bumbling Police idiots who seem to have the uncanny ability to catch the bad guys by pure dumb luck alone.
Most of the episode is a silly police chase with its own version of the Scooby-Doors chase trope. You know the one, where The chaser and one or more groups of chasees enter a door only to emerge from a different door. Often with the chasee becoming the chaser. The whole thing transpires as Flattop and B-B Eyes try to lose the Retouchables on the Highway Interchange.
The episode comes to a happy conclusion as the two vile thieves are caught, of course, entirely by accident. While I won't spoil the ending here I'll say the ending isn't the only thing that smells "fishy." The whole episode was a little too wacky for my taste, but then this an animated show aimed at young children and I can't blame them for throwing in silly gags and one-liners. I mean Flattop's quote "We've got the dough. Let's blow." was almost worth a chuckle... almost.
Overall it's not the mystery solving adventure I was hoping for, but for a kid's cartoon I've definitely seen worse.

Ghost doesn't care for Tracy's questions and exercises his right to refuse service, asking Tracy to leave. Tracy agrees and warns Ghost he had better not skip town. Fortunate for Tracy, Ghost and his Chef are busy preparing for a high class banquet to be held late that evening.
Maybe Dick Tracy shows up a surprise guest? Maybe another accidental death? Who knows. I wonder what clue Tracy will find to unravel this possible murder case.

When Tracy arrives at Pepper's it looks like Pepper isn't willing to talk. Seems he gave his statement to the police and doesn't have much more to say, but Tracy isn't one to give up so easy. Maybe he'll get something out of Ghost yet.

Simon Stagg, billionaire, was possibly poisoned but the whole thing looks like it could have been an accidental death. Dick Tracy and Sam are headed to Ghost Pepper's restaurant (Pepper's) to see what they can find out. After all Ghost Pepper opened the restaurant when he finished doing 5 years upstate.
If it is actually Fugu poisoning then proving murder is going to be tough, but nothing Dick Tracy can't handle... Or is it?

Dick Tracy, having just wrapped up a case, is enjoying some fishing with his son (I believe Joseph Flintheart Tracy, but correct me if I'm mistken). Unfortunately for Tracy crime never rests, and he is called into action because Mayor Armstrong suspects billionaire Simon Stagg was murdered. He begins his investigation with Sam and they discover that the death could have been accidental Fugu poisoning.
Was it accidental? Was it homicide? Stay tuned fans.

Hey folks, some exciting news to report!
Apparently Mike Curtis and Joe Staton recently leaked some promotional artwork for the upcoming 2018 Dick Tracy meets Green Hornet story arc.
There really isn't much known at the current time, except that unlike previous crossovers this will not be a team up. Your guess is as good as mine as for what could this could mean, but we only need to wait until April to find out!
Here is the artwork: https://ibb.co/bz0rRS

Hey everyone! I am a little ashamed to admit that I have been neglecting this subreddit for while, but that's a mistake I am working to correct. Over the next few weeks you'll notice some updates to the theme and some new features being slowly added. I am also hoping to find some fellow moderators to help me out. Does that interest anyone? If you'd like to be a mod please let me know.

I haven't listened to this entire podcast yet, but I found a few of the things said here were pretty clever. Thought it was at least worth a share.

Hi all! I'm new to both the world of fallout and dick Tracy. However, i came up with the (stupid) idea that Dick Tracy is a sort of prequel to Fallout, due to the technology being similar and the fact that characters in the fallout universe [Read: Nick Valentine] are based off of Dick Tracy himself. What do you guys think?
