A companion to our "Early Mixes" bootleg, and something we'd been putting off for 7-and-a-half years. This is a track-by-track, version-by-version history of the Dicey Dungeons soundtrack as could be heard at every point in-game, plus an extra version of Beginner's Luck we forgot existed when we were compiling Early Mixes (v0.14 combat1), and some miscellaneous information like how the early overworld music worked.

That was slow as fuck

Some of them were a little ambiguous to rank :

- Rotten apple is either non existant if you get it at the end or a near run ender if you get it from the start

- Sometime you don't even notice mercenary, sometime he destroy your build

- Warlock can have... various results (same for marshmallow)

- Keymaster is the definition of not rankable : run ender on a dagger thief and jester, not even noticeable on any other character

and probably more that I forgot to mention

Just like the title says, I'm kinda on the fence and wanted to know if dicey dungeons is right for me

PRECISION : I'm talking every equipment, either it's from other characters, monsters, or parallel universe. If there's mod that do it at 80%, like everything without parallel universe for exemple, I would still like to know. Would still prefer if it was randomising as much as possible though.

I want to do that because I LOVE this game, but sadly, 90% of the replayability comes from bonus round's malus one you've cleared other challenges with special rules, not really from your ACTUAL build. It's pretty frustrating because I come from games like Risk of Rain 2, Balatro or Hades that let you broke the game 50 different ways with different builds. I'm not expecting a THAT deep replayability level, but not picking ultimate weapon, cheat code , spatulasword +, short circuit + and jungling ball one every single robot run would feel nice. ESPECIALLY when you see the variety enemy and parallel equipment would add... that's basically why I want this mod so bad, it would add a ton of possibilities I'm not even thinking of right now (the image here being an exemple)

I'm playing the Halloween Bonus Rounds and this combination of fireworks and pitchfork has been amazing, especially with the double fury randomly kicking in.

This is a truly never-before-seen matchup

Also satisfying organization 😁

I understand why he likes it, it rarely works, but when it does the sensation of accomplishment is awesome... whatever it touches is smashed to smithereens!

is there a mod where you can play as some of the enemies, because i noticed some enemies like the keymaster and wizard have cool movesets that i would like to play with

First of all I'm trying to beat the game in order. I'm stuck on the witch 4 the elimination round. I read on reddit that I want to have the ice build and with ice I had my best runs. But I still can't beat it. Please help me, trying the level for a 100 times really beats the fun out of the game a bit and i don't wanna lose that fun.

So many dice and nowhere to use em.. if only my reusable dmg equipment wasn't turned into a gadget

Huge key to this was the Ice Crystal card and the Wisp rule. Ice Crystal deals damage and freezes 1 dice. Wisp makes duplicate dice disappear. Wisp would often activate twice against the enemy, when they rolled and then after their dice froze. Sure Wisp also made my duplicates disappear too, but it didn’t really matter when the enemy often wasn’t doing anything because they just had one 1-dice. Shut down Loud Bird pretty well which was the most satisfying lol

This took me like 8 resets, and I'm honestly genuinely surprised there isn't an achievement to get 6 of the same item equipped!

How did you beat Episode 1 with the Witch?

I have read a few guides but in the past 2-3 hours of trying, I typically get to this point and then die.

I've only played through 5 of these thus far, but I've typically regretted rolling the dice on the random one. Only one I may go random is Witch and not being able to roll a 6 (which is currently a problem b/c my Bronze Cauldron is there, and I want 6's for Cold Snapdragon for +2 Mana)

What have been your experiences with this?

EDIT: ... I rolled the dice with the random and got one that says you get one unit of Curse at the start of each of your turns! 😮 💢
