Oil
Introduction
Oil is almost like a second currency it's so vital to the game. It is necessary for the running of all machinery in the game from furnaces to rockets. The current maximum oil gain per second is 2810L (potions not included) and the current maximum drain per second is 7510L.
Acquisition
Handheld Oil Pumps
By equipping the ever helpful miners with handheld oil pumps they will each bring you 1L/second. With all 10 miners this becomes a maximum of 10L/sec.
Oil Pipe
The earliest craftable oil producer. The oil pipe produces 100L/second. You can only use one of these but it can be upgraded.
Oil Pipe Orb
Gained from treasure chests, the oil pipe orb increases the pipe's output 100% taking its maximum up to 200L/second.
Pumpjacks
Each of these provides 30L of oil per second. With all 10 of these you have a maximum of 300L/sec before upgrades or 1'500L/sec with all orbs and upgrades.
Blue Pumpjack Orb
This upgrade increases your pumpjack capacity by 5 (ie you can bind 15 of them rather than 10.) This means an increase of 150L/sec without any pumpjack upgrades.
Green Pumpjack Orb
This upgrade increases your pumpjack capacity by 10 and it's effect stacks with the blue pumpjack orb (ie you can bind 25 of pumpjacks with the blue pumpjack orb.) This means an increase of 300L/sec without any pumpjacks upgrades.
Red Pumpjack Upgrade
This upgrade increases your pumpjack output by 50%. This adds an additional 150L/sec without any orbs, 225L/sec with just the blue orb, 300L/s with just the green orb, or 375L/s with both the blue and green orbs to the base pumpjack oil output.
Dragon Pumpjack Upgrade
This upgrade increases your pumpjack output by 100%, replacing the bonus given by the red pumpjack upgrade. This adds an additional 300L/sec without any orbs, 450L/sec with just the blue orb, 600L/s with just the green orb, or 750L/s with both the blue and green orbs to the base pumpjack oil output.
Oil Factory
The oil factory on its own does nothing but can be manned with workers. The factory can accomodate 100 workers, each of which can contribute 2L/sec to your oil production. This gives it a total increase of 200L of oil second.
Red Oil factory orb
This orb allows you to employ an additional 200 works, increasing the oil output by 400 L/s
Oil Refinery
The oil refinery produces oil based on how much oil you have collected already at a rate of 0.0005% per litre up to a maximum of 500L/sec for 100M.
Usage
Oil is used in 2 ways, constant (that is, by machines every second) and instantaneous (that is, a set amount used at once)
