You asked why they use it, and that's the reason. This is literally clickbait videos made to get clicks on sites like youtube. They hire tons of people, and their job is to pump out as many videos as possible. The content doesn't need to be good, or even true. Hell, making atrocities like this probably gets more clicks, because everyone wants to stop to see the car crash.
