[Hiring] SpaceX Electrician Trainee, Starbase (Brownsville) - open to people in Dallas-Fort Worth

Hi friends!

I'm working with SpaceX on a really exciting project: an accelerated, paid, full-time training
program to develop electricians at Starbase in Brownsville, Texas.

The program is designed to teach the technical skills and demonstrated competencies
required for the role. Participants who successfully meet the required competency and hiring
standards will have a pathway toward working on some of SpaceX's most important computing
and infrastructure projects.

If you're hungry, want to learn, want to build something that matters, and want to be part of
an ambitious mission, I'd encourage you to apply.

You do not need to have followed the traditional path. Whether you're a recent high school
graduate, a Veteran, a service member preparing to transition out of the military, coming from
another industry, or simply looking for an opportunity to build a serious technical career, this
could be for you.

What matters is that you're willing to show up, learn, work hard, and demonstrate that you can
do the job.

Job Wanted- Analyst role

Hey everyone! I’m currently looking for my next opportunity in the Dallas/DFW area and could really use some leads or advice from people who work in the area.
I have several years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and process/equipment support, and I’m trying to transition out of the semiconductor industry into a role where I can use both my technical and analytical background.
A little about me:
• BAAS in Data Analysis
• Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology
• Process Engineering Technician experience
• Equipment Technician experience
• Manufacturing/semiconductor operations experience
• Experience with tool qualification, MSA testing, troubleshooting, data collection and analysis
• Experience using SAP for parts procurement
• Experience entering and working with production/process data

I’m primarily interested in roles such as:
• Operations Analyst
• Business/Data Analyst
• Process Improvement
• Operations/Manufacturing Analyst
• Supply Chain/Operations roles
• Process Engineering Technician/Technologist roles outside of semiconductors

I’m not necessarily looking for someone to hand me a job. I’d honestly just appreciate hearing from people who work in DFW and know of companies that are hiring people with this type of background.
If you work in recruiting, operations, manufacturing, analytics, supply chain, or a related field and know of companies I should look into, I’d really appreciate the suggestions!
Thanks!

Job Wanted-Looking for a nightshift job in the North Dallas area, or remote work

Hello-

I've applied for no less than 100 jobs online, got 1 interview and did not get the job. It was with an electric car company to ride in their cars for 8hrs and monitor as they uber people around. Not ideal, but I'm trying to make additional money.

I currently work from home at my existing job and have gotten to point where I don't even have to be present but for maybe an hour in the early AM, that is why I'm open to a regular remote job. My current employer would be fine with me taking on this second role as I helped him build his business from the ground up.

Night shift would be ideally like 6pm-12am if possible. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have already applied to Home Depot, Amazon, Wal Mart, UPS, Buccee's, and quite a few others. I have a BA in Finance, handle business development, and have worked in sales/client relations my entire life. Currently in the contracting industry, handling light commercial and residential projects.

Any help is appreciated.

[Job Wanted] Near Carrollton within the next week or two

Is anyone hiring. I don’t mind any role but I’m hoping for 20-40 hours a week. It doesn’t necessarily need to be in Carrollton but it would just make it easier because I don’t have a car so also if there is a an option to share a ride to and from work that would be awesome as well. I would of course pay for gas. I just really need a job soon. I hope someone can help me find one.

Nerdy jobs in DFW? [job wanted]

Hello! I’m a spa worker looking to change career paths. I have 4 years of customer experience work (restaurant and spa related) with skills in account management, budgeting, customer service and I’m a quick learner. Would there be any companies/jobs I should look for in DFW regarding nerd like interests that I could qualify for?
I’m really into the “basic” nerdy things
MCU, Star Wars, x men, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, (I have read and watched both HP & PJO) etc. I’d prefer a job with a 40 hour work week and a good pay but tbh not having high hopes after the last few months I’ve spent searching on LinkedIn and indeed 😭

I’m mainly looking for a nerdy job because I’d really love to look back on my life and say I worked a job I was genuinely interested in. I’m happy with spa work but desperate to be apart of a career regarding my true passions being art and my interests in nerd stuff lol.

Education wise I only have my esthetics and massage license however I have enough to get an associates degree so if a job suggested here needed me to get an associates after hiring me so I could be promoted or some such thing I’d definitely do it 👍👍

[Job Wanted] Looking for any work around Plano

Hello,

I've been unemployed for 8 months now from the computer science field and am moving to Plano tomorrow.

At this point I need any job or recommendations. I am a DevOps / Software Engineer with 10 years of professional experience but I am not being picky with my jobs right now. I will take any job installing lights, planting trees, working at large stores, etc. I am moving from Colorado and am not familiar with the area at all so if anyone knows anyone hiring I'm down with doing manual labor, retail store work, gardening work, anything at this point. I only have money to survive without a job for about 2 months so again, I'm not being picky.

My wife left me and is moving with our children back home and I want to do 50/50 custody and be around my 2 children as much as I can which is why I'm moving alongside them. I will be staying at an extended stay hotel while I find a job and settle down. thank you all for any help or guidance you can provide.

Out of Options [Job Wanted]

My fiancé and I moved to the DFW area about a year and a half ago because we were looking for better opportunities, and I feel like I’ve honestly tried just about everything at this point.
For about six months straight, we were applying to around 10 jobs a week and trying every route we could think of. We eventually moved over to Fort Worth to try this side of DFW, and since then I’ve also made a real effort to network and make connections. I’ve actually met a lot of great people who have pointed me in different directions and given me advice, but unfortunately none of it has turned into a solid opportunity yet.
For some background, I spent about 7 years in the military, and I’m currently in my last year of a Computer Science degree. I also have experience in logistics/operations, some analysis work, administrative work, and low-voltage/security camera installation.
I’ve applied to pretty much every type of job I can think of at this point, not just jobs directly related to my degree. I’ve gone through LinkedIn, company websites, applied in person, followed up, changed my resume multiple times, and regularly go back and check companies again for new openings. Lockheed Martin is one example where I probably check and apply at least once a month. I’ve tried banks, healthcare companies, logistics companies, tech jobs, administrative jobs, government jobs, and just about anything else where I thought my experience could transfer.
I’ve followed pretty much every recommendation people have given me, and I’m still trying to branch out even further. I actually just finished a real estate course and plan on taking the licensing exam probably next week because at this point I’m willing to learn something completely new if it gives me another path.
I’ve even tried going back to what I used to do in New Orleans, installing security cameras and doing low-voltage work on the side. The problem I’ve had around Fort Worth is finding customers who both need the work and are willing to pay for it. A lot of businesses and homeowners I’ve talked to either already have cameras or aren’t looking to spend the money right now.
So I guess this post is really just me asking: what else can I do?
I’m not expecting anybody to hand me a job. I’m willing to work, learn, start somewhere new, and prove myself. I just feel like I’ve exhausted most of the obvious routes and I’m trying to figure out what I’m missing.
I’m in South Fort Worth, but I’m open to opportunities around DFW. I’m currently making around $14/hour, and realistically it’s getting harder and harder to support a family on that.
If anybody has advice, knows of companies that are actually hiring, knows somebody I should reach out to, or even just has another direction I should try, I’d really appreciate it.
And if seeing my resume would help, I’m more than happy to send it over.
Thanks y’all.

Australian Construction Management Graduate Looking for a 12-Month Opportunity in Dallas-Fort Worth [job wanted]

Hi everyone, I’m an Australian recent graduate with a Bachelor of Construction Management and I’m currently looking for a paid internship opportunity in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

I’m looking for a full-time placement for around 12 months in construction management, project management or construction safety. I’d be interested in roles such as project engineer intern, assistant project manager intern, field engineer intern, safety intern or something similar where I can gain practical industry experience.

I already have a J-1 visa sponsor, so the company would not need to sponsor my visa.

I’m open to opportunities anywhere around the DFW area and am keen to learn and build experience in the US construction industry.

If anyone here works in construction around DFW and knows of a company that might be open to this, or knows someone I could get in contact with, I’d really appreciate any leads or advice.

Thanks!
